Waking Up to Nothing (Part 3)
I followed behind Grace not asking where we were headed. The road we traveled was an echo of what used to be. Nothing looked as it had on this side of town either. In my head, I could see children playing throughout the neighborhood and families gathering together in their front yards knowing things would continue for another day as long as they had one another. The light in their eyes was a reflection of the light in their hearts.

Beauty is Skin Deep
Reign looked up from her Anatomy 101 book to see the incarnation of Adonis. The flowing shoulder-length blond hair and chiseled jaw formed into a bright smile of pearly white teeth. Sparkling blues eyes pierced her soul as he made eye contact. Have I died and gone to heaven? Is he an angel?

Carnival: Nightingale
A dark red grand piano sat in the middle of a room with glossy black tile all along the floor. One wall was completely glass hosting built-in color-changing lights with water on the opposite side. The rest of the room had white tables inside of deep purple booths on slightly elevated carpets on the black-tiled main floor. The wallpaper was black with green vine print all over. The ceiling was crystal stylized glass with color-changing lights. The double doors by the glass wall were a solid white with a marble frame and archway on both sides, accented with gold but no windows. The double doors opposite to them were simple black swinging doors with circular windows, leading to the kitchen. But there was a dark red single door on the last wall in between booths with pink, black, purple, and red glitter on it. Standing out thanks to the sign over it reading, “Pleasure Hall” in purple-red stained silver on a gold plaque. This was the decor of the exclusive performance club known as “Nightingale”.

Dream Eater
Michelle huffed angrily as she noticed that her dream catcher had fallen off the ceiling again. She checked under the bed, behind the nightstand, and even in the bathroom in case it had rolled inside. Nothing. No dream catcher and no sign of where it had gone. It wasn't as if it was uncommon or anything. Michelle had been replacing dream catchers for most of her life, but the older she got, the more annoying it became.

The Eerie Attic
Before Reddit.com user Digsdaws got down to recounting their scariest of ghost stories—about living in a place that was obviously teaming with honest-to-goodness members of the spiritual world—they pointed out the irony of ghost stories that begin with the phrase, “I don’t believe in ghosts, but …” After all, no matter how a ghost story begins, it always hinges on the notion that, come on, of course we believe in ghosts!

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 9
Many eons ago, there was a small village. Life in the village was peaceful, until a horrific plague began sweeping througout the land. The villages and towns of that day and age were no stranger to plague, but this one - dubbed the Blood Plague - was the worse any had ever seen. In the span of a single day, the Blood Plague had been said to wipe out every member of a village completely; it wouldn't spare any soul, slaying the newborn and the ancient alike in its path of destruction.
