The Octopus
Traditionally, we humans have placed ourselves at the far right of the intelligence bell curve. Not just that, but we tend to claim we're the only ones there. Pigs, elephants, a couple breeds of dogs might fall somewhere near the middle, but when it comes to smarts, we've just gone and declared ourselves the cream of the crop. I've always thought that was a bit self-important.

10 Horror Series Worth Watching This Halloween
Ordered from least to greatest for your convenience. 1. Hemlock grove This show has a solid first season. It’s a high school teen drama mixed with supernatural elements. It’s not perfect, but the performances are strong and the storytelling is interesting. Season 2 is a miss-step, but watchable. Season 3 is a mess and is unsatisfying as a conclusion, but if you’re bored and want to watch a horror-themed show, this is a unique option. Bill Skarsgård, Landon Liboiron, and Famke Janssen do an excellent job in this forgotten early Netflix series.

Blood Pumpkin
"What in the hell are those?" Clarence had gone to Reggy's Veggies to buy seeds, just as he had every year since Reggy had opened. David Decker probably bought his seeds here, too, Clarence reflected. It was part of the reason Clarence kept coming back. The fact that Reggy was a friend since boyhood and Clarence taking his business to the new feed store up the road would hurt him was secondary.

Moonlight rippled unnaturally on the lake as the car rounded the curve to the final stretch of dirt road before we reached the township of Elishire. I appreciated the ride–I knew I would have gotten lost in these twisting country backroads. I already longed for the lights and traffic and pavement of my city.

The Graveyard Shift
It all began on one evening at a secluded gas station, Sean was heading to work, he works the night shift at the gas station, when he arrived, his friend was getting ready to leave, before he did they started talking. After the conversation the two parted ways and Sean started working. Not much happened at the start of his shift, but when it started to get really late in the night, strange things started to happen, the lights would flicker, the cooler’s would shut off and turn back on, stuff would fall off the shelves, and strange things like that. All of this was really strange to him because none of this ever happened there before so he was really confused about it. After all that he tried to ignore all of it and get back to work, and so he did, later he was taking out the garbage and he started to hear rustling in the woods right next to him, as soon as he heard that he ran back inside and locked the door.
