Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Sex With Bloody Mary
It was just another Saturday night when me and some of my friends were playing Truth or Dare. You could say we were inspired by all the Truth or Dare gone wrong movies that are out there. So we were feeling a bit gutsy and very drunk and figured it would be fun to "scare" ourselves. We were all sitting in my boyfriend Ben's living room by the fire, beers and shot glasses all around.

Seeing Is Believing? Right?
Chapter 1 Angelica Jenson was an odd girl. She didn’t talk much but when she did, there wasn’t much that could be done to shut her up. She had friends she trusted and socialized with people, and managed to put on a face of normalcy at office parties. Everyone thought, who got to know her, or at least the part of her she allowed them to, that she was a lovely person to be around. That being said, they only knew as much Angelica allowed them to know. Everyone was kept at a distance without them even knowing they were.

The Butterfly
I've loved butterflies since a young age. When I was a little girl, people would ask me what my favorite animal was and I would excitedly jump up and say it was a butterfly. I always liked how free they seemed. My mom told me that if a butterfly landed on you that it was good luck. I remembered that for my entire life. A butterfly was good luck. I always trusted the butterfly and its beauty.

The Woods (Pt. 2)
Jenny got home around dusk. She was happy it was getting late. Less time she had to wait to go get Tracy. She didn't know what that thing was but she hated it. It had destroyed her life. She wanted it dead but didn't know how to make it happen. She figured out that anger is what brings you to it. It's what brought her to it the first time, but she wasn't sure what brought her back. She hoped that maybe if she didn't look at it this time it wouldn't paralyze her and she could find Tracy. Maybe she knew how to get home. She had helped Jenny get out last time.

The Uninvited Visitor
It was early morning or late night, depending on your view. She had just turned the corner when she saw her step daughter. She knew she would come for her, such a sick and sadistic soul she was. Murder and death were the scent of her aura, if auras had a scent. A mix of dirty rain and hopelessness.

Beautiful Nightmare Part 4
I really should have known better. But she had been so complacent, finally behaving after nearly 24 hours of torture, so I had let her down from the ceiling hook without bothering to knock her out first, intending to position her for my employer's imminent arrival. No sooner had her feet touched the floor did the bitch sock me right in the throat before bolting out of the bedroom.
