Know Thy Self ...
... And To Thine Own Self, Be True
I believe most of us want to belong to society and with a group of our peers. However, sometimes to achieve something truly great we have to go our own way, ignore the crowd, and build a valuable life for ourselves.
Friends are often kind and well-meaning, but that doesn't always help when you need to find your innate talents and calling in life. We all need, at times, to take a good hard look at our reflection and imagine a better, livelier and happier person.
This is one situation where Astrology can truly help if we use it wisely, and have an astrologer with integrity.
My own Astrological chart indicates that I will do very well in things from the past. This was a total shock to me when I was first told about it, exclaiming 'No! No! No!' I wanted a path that was forward looking and forward thinking, a path of innovation, and new discovery, not a backwards looking path.
I was, however, young with very little experience of life.
As I matured I discovered that my greatest happiness and success indeed lay in things of the past - I found myself working in Pensions (dealing with the finances of old people) I had a beautiful classic car, lived in an old house with antiques - and now my absolute joy is - ANTIQUE JEWELLERY.
At least it's now become fashionable to repurpose 'yesterday's treasures' for the 21st Century. With an increasingly aging population, falling birthrates, and declining natural resources, we do need to preserve as many assets built and owned by our ancestors.
Items of Jewellery are valuable given with love, they have been cherished and passed down from generation to generation. They carry an 'aura' of beauty, of love and of sentiment, their history aligning with our highest feelings.
I believe it's the 'energy' and 'sacredness' associated with antiques can help us manifest our dreams in today's world. Each piece would be special to the people who gifted and received these pieces of jewellery, marking special occasions and showing the love between them.
When I first started out on this venture, I bought a diamond ring at Auction. The hallmark dated this piece to 1917, just before the end of the First World War (WWI).
But when I started wearing the ring I felt a wonderful sense of joy and peace. My view is that whoever bought this ring survived the horrors of the trenches and the carnage that was WWI.
I believe the recipient never stopped feeling glad that their dear one had returned. If ever I take this ring off, I can feel quite depressed.
To continuing Manifesting in this area, I frequently write articles for the local magazine, and here on Vocal.
In my writing, I become the hero who always wins the day. As a result my vibration continues to bring in the profits and security, and I continue to feel blessed and comforted.
The jewellery I buy is purchased at Auctions around the country. Most of the Auction Houses sell items on line and have facilities to package and send them to customers at home and abroad. I then present them in Antique Jewellers Boxes, take some great pictures and list on e-bay and Etsy.
I do extensive research before listing, making sure the Hallmark, Makers Mark and Year of Manufacture are accurate, as well as the descriptions. The auction houses are particularly useful at this because some of the gem stones appear similar and I don't have a sophisticated gem tester.
Why not have a look and see if this is something that appeals to you.
