Adventure Awaits
I have always been drawn to fantasy. Steve Jackson has a lot to answer for. If you don't know the name, he used to do 'choose your own adventure' books: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain; City of Thieves; Deathtrap Dungeon. There were more. Many more. Those were my favorites. In a world of dwarves, elves and magic, the impossible became real.

So You Want to Play D&D, Part 2
Today on “So You Want to Play D&D” I’m going to talk about being a player. I do have quite a bit of experience playing roleplaying games, and though I spend most of my time behind a screen as a gamemaster, or Dungeon Master (DM) as the game director is known in D&D, I have put quite a few hours into quite a few characters in several different campaigns, from the weekly game I used to play with my coworkers at the games store I worked at, to pick up games at conventions or open play days. So I’m going to lay out for you what I think, as a player and a DM, you should bring to being a player in a D&D game.

Brewing MTG with Maralen
This is an article about deckbuilding for Magic: the Gathering. It may be a little advanced for some readers, so if you need to know anything more basic about the game, I recommend that you visit magicthegathering.com to learn that stuff. Otherwise, I will assume that you understand the basics such as how much land to use versus creatures or mana values as well as concepts such as sorcery-speed vs. instant-speed. This article also assumes that you understand more advanced applications of rules such as details about keywords, phases, and steps.

So You Want to Play D&D
Dungeons & Dragons. Everyone knows the name, and it’s becoming more popular. Possibly even mainstream. You can even buy one of a few different starter sets at Target. But for some of us, D&D has been a part of our lives for a long time. I personally have been playing some version of D&D, not to mention other tabletop roleplaying games, since the mid 1980’s, and I can say that it has been a trip watching my life long hobby become more and more recognized. So assuming that with my 30ish years of experience I might have some ideas, I thought I’d put this out to help people who might be interested in trying roleplaying out. Today I want to talk about systems (specifically D&D systems).

If you like playing card games and other casino type games at home, then folding poker tables are just right for you. These tables have been on the market for quite a while, but they are gaining more popularity as the years go by. It may come as a surprise to know that there are many different designs available in these tables. The most common type is the folding poker table with arms. There are also those tables with no arm or with two or three arms, depending on how many players you have.

Board Game Challenges
I have a dream ... many dreams, really. But lately, as I've been in heavy board game mode (obsessed right now), I have particular dreams ... relating to board games. I've come across a couple challenges (and have an idea for my own personal challenge) that would allow me to play more board games than I currently do ... which would be a dream come true!
