Tarkov's Cultists are Disappointing
If there was one addition to Tarkov that we all knew was coming but didn’t have a concrete idea as to when it was going to happen, it was the cultists. These guys have been eluded too for so long, with the first marked room on Customs; a place where for a long time, the potential from crazy good loot like weapon cases was possible. That room and the circles around the other maps have been reduced in their generosity considerably over the years, but we all knew these mysterious folks would one day make their grand entrance. And oh boy did they. I remember, it was the patch where BSG gave the player base that red AKM and like 800 rounds of BP, which was a stupid idea. But regardless, at least they gave us a fighting chance against these doods. Because when they came out, they were terrifying; once the first video of their existence in the game surfaced, it was as if the nighttime raids became something akin to a horror movie. Only being located on Customs, Shoreline, and Woods, the chance of hearing that swiping sound behind you, only to flick your flashlight on and see a silhouette in all black disappear into the night, before the hail of bullets and grenades began to surround you. These guys were no joke; However, things have changed. And to be honest, the cultists have become quite a letdown over the years.

The AK-74: Tried and True; A Tarkov Classic
Not too long ago, I showcased the little AKS in Tarkov and how it’s much better than its previous incarnations. And luckily, that isn’t the only weapon in the Kalashnikov family that is worth using. The tried-and-true staple of Tarkov itself; the AK-74. If you play this game for any length of time, you will have this weapon in your hands at some point. Whether naked with no attachments, or completely brimmed out with all the fancy attachments on offer, this gun is an iconic and classic within Tarkov. Despite how common you might think it is, the gun is still very enjoyable to run, regardless of how it’s modded. So today, I wanted to go over a couple builds that vary in both style in function. If you’re here because you’re curious about the min/max build of it, I’m not really going to go over that, but here’s a picture of the final product if you are indeed curious. While arguably not as versatile and modular as something like an M4, there is still enough on offer to warrant some level of creativity when it comes to building an AK. Also, we are going to only use two different versions of the AK, the 74N and the 74M; the major difference being just one stock is fixed and the other is foldable; which allows for different options not available to the opposite. Also, something to note, these weapons are being built with at least all traders at level 3 in mind. So, while some attachments may be buyable at lower levels, some of these will only be available to you if you are at level 30 or higher. So just keep that in mind.

Tarkov is Hard to Play for Fun Right Now
“This game isn’t supposed to be fun”. Those are words taken from Nikita himself many years ago, whilst talking to some streamers on a podcast. We all joke and meme that Tarkov isn’t technically supposed to be fun. And yet here we are; there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of players for this game. All willing to try and put with the BS Tarkov has to offer because the experience it delivers is unique to only itself. But I’ve noticed, as the scope and scale grows, so do the compounding issues it delivers to us on a wipe-to-wipe basis. This will very much be a subjective conversation today. I know this sentiment isn’t carried across the entire community and that’s totally fine. If you are still enjoying Tarkov and are having a great time leveling up and getting tasks done, I’m glad. Please, enjoy yourself. This is honestly more for me than anyone else. I look back at this wipe, seeing as how we have been in it for over 50 days, and a lot has happened. Some good, and some... not as much. But I find it harder each day to enjoy Tarkov and just have fun playing the game, without it feeling like something else entirely.
