How Can We Bring Horror Back into Horror?
In today's world, the horror video game genre is struggling. Well known games such as Resident Evil have turned into full fledged action games where you truly do not have to fear anything, and many others have simply become predictable.

7 Psychological Horror Games You Need to Play
When was the last good psychological horror game released? SOMA, maybe, in 2015? But that was more a sci-fi horror game, albeit with some moralistic undertones. I would consider Little Nightmares, but I feel like that game should have been longer since its campaign was little more than a vignette that could be played in as little as three hours. The Silent Hill franchise hit a new low since its puppeteer, Konami, literally turned its legacy into a gambling machine. You can keep it on the ventilator all you want, you corporate bastards, it's still too brain-dead from all the horses you beat on top of it!

'Resident Evil 2': MZSA
Can you remember the last time you were filled with so much fear that your heart pounded in your chest? Your eyesight grew blurry and your hands trembled? You prayed for the moment to pass so you could release the breath that ached in your lungs?

'Resident Evil 2: REmake' - Good, but Overzealous
Can we accuse Capcom of selling out when Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was such a surprising success? Though I'd argue that Resident Evil 6: What the Fuck Is This? was certainly grounds for disenfranchisement. However, no game is without its flaws and critiquing a good game is not always shoving flowers up the developers ass. But a few bad mechanics doesn't necessarily weigh out the good and Resident Evil 2: REmake is certainly a contender to be one of the best remakes in the last decade.

'Resident Evil 2 Remake: One-Shot Demo' Review!
I didn't know what to expect when playing the Resident Evil 2 Remake: One-Shot Demo for PS4. I knew there would be a 30-minute timer (which you can go back to play if you create another PS4 account shhhh) but other than that I was clueless.

'Resident Evil 2' (2019) Demo Thoughts
If you have ever played a survival horror game growing up in the 90's, you had to come across a series called Resident Evil. In 1996, Capcom released a game in Japan called Biohazard, which eventually made it to the states as Resident Evil. The survival horror genre was born with this original title that was released on the Playstation console. The concept of survival horror is to pit the player against challenges with scarce resources. This game specifically used zombies and other biological weapons as enemies in the game. You were constantly pressed to decide whether to fight or flight, depending upon resources that you gain throughout the game. Furthermore, you are tasked to manage a limited inventory in which you would need to decide on what tools and weapons to carry. As you progress deeper into the story line, the creatures that you encounter become increasingly more difficult to fight. Lastly, your save states in the game were based upon finding ink ribbons to save your game onto sparingly limited typewriters.

The Top 7 Most WTF 'Silent Hill' Puzzles
There's a term gamers use to define the silly arduous puzzles we encounter in games: A "moon logic" puzzle. They are the puzzles that are poetic and metaphoric than practical. When it comes to moon logic puzzles, Silent Hill is one of the best (or worst?) at implementing them into the gameplay and story. Sometimes these stories just don't make any damn sense at all, but neither do monsters with two sets of legs, or monsters that are psychological manifestations of trigonometry homework.

My Top 10 Scariest Monsters in Gaming
"What in fresh hell is that?"a gamer might proclaim. For it is neither an animalNor a beast they can name. Yeah, don't worry, I won't be doing that the whole article. I've had way too many lollipops leftover from Halloween and my brain's all silly. Enough about my sugar intake, this is about monsters. Monsters that are humanoid, yet corrupted, or have limbs where they shouldn't be. Some are the resultant aberrations of human eugenics gone haywire, some are the manifestations of a character's guilt made flesh. Keep in mind that this is my personal list, so it might not align with your list of scary creatures. I'm also not being picky about whether the creatures are from horror games or non-horror games. Without further ado, let's countdown my top 10 scariest monsters in gaming.
