What Happened to Interchange in Escape From Tarkov?
Over a year ago, I made a video talking about my personal reasons as to why I believed Interchange was the hardest map in the Tarkov, at that time. Since then, a lot has changed. We got two additional maps, and the overall game experience has changed drastically. And with the recent wipe, the need to go back to Interchange has risen. I say need and not want because let’s be real, a lot of us do NOT want to play on that map. The poor lighting, overall visibility, and clusters of areas where the pvp occurs, makes it really not feel good to play and enjoy. But again, that sentiment is old, and the question rises once again; is Interchange fun to play? The short answer... No. Not at all. In fact, it’s worse than it’s ever been. Marred by more issues than it was previously, and an overall shift in how people interact with the map has made it bottom of the barrel. Somehow, I’d rather play Lighthouse and that is saying something.

Tarkov's Good Ammo is Gone from the Vendors
Wow; we just got hit with a reality check in Tarkov, huh? This might be a short one, maybe not, but let’s talk about all the ammo that has been removed from Vendors. A LOT has changed; M80, gone. M62 and M61, gone. PS12B, gone. SP13, gone. 55A1 on Skier, gone. 995, gone. 7.62 BP; the king of ammo for I think three wipes now, gone. And there are other changes, but just that list alone, is... wow. Never thought it would happen. In addition to all these changes to ammo availability, what I think might be even more substantial, is that a lot of popular optics are also gone. The Vudu and the Razor, are both not buyable from Jaeger anymore. Now, as far as I know those are all the changes that have happened. And, the community has been sounding off all over the place. People are either really interested by these changes, and others are beyond livid that these items that were once available are now gone from their access. Here’s my hot take of the week:

Tarkov at the end of the day, is a numbers game for a lot of people, myself included. How much money you have, what things cost, is it worth it to upgrade your armor or weapon? We ask ourselves these questions a lot during our time in the game. And this is only magnified whenever the game wipes, and the rubles we spend matter more. But it’s not just about making a weapon good and cheap at the same time. Sometimes, it’s about building something that can be iterated upon raid after raid, and slowly, through some careful planning and money managing, can be built into an extremely powerful weapon only after a few raids. The idea of reinvesting back into your own kit has been talked about before, in fact, Deadly Slob several fantastic videos about this concept. But today, I wanted to talk about it once more; how my thought process is when I am able to survive multiple raids and make some money in the process.
