Light of Fabella
10,032 BC Stories take us out of our world and ask us to imagine what might have been. That’s how history spreads from one generation to the next. This desperate need to dazzle others with astonishing fables can be traced back to the primitive age of mankind.

The Boy In The Woods
When I was a little girl, I remember my grandparents telling me the story of a boy living in an enchanted wood. His parents died when he was five; apparently, his grandparents were the ones to take care of him, but the story says that his grandparents were into magic. The boy was so scared for his life since he witnessed the death of both parents. He believed that his grandparents killed them to use him for magic since his blood was special. Escaping from the vast mansion, he ran towards the woods that wasn't too far from his grandparent's house. He thought he has going to survive on his own, but it wasn't like that. When he turned nine years, a group of people that lived in the middle of the woods found the boy unconscious.

Blue Moon
A long, long time ago, there were only the Moon and Sun that existed in the world, well the animals too, but that is a different story. The Moon called, Luna and the Sun was Apollo. Every time Apollo rises, he is always bright and shining! Everyone is happy when they see him and will greet him with joy. Yet with all this joy, they cannot stare at him for a long time since he shines so bright it hurts the animals’ eyes. Apollo does not know this, and he thought that the animals were just busy doing their things. The animals make excuses so that they don’t hurt Apollo’s feelings. The day passes by, and Apollo leaves. That’s when Luna comes, and all of the animals thought that Luna was evil. They don’t treat her like they treat Apollo, and this made Luna very sad because she is very lonely and doesn’t have any friends. One night, while Luna was still in the sky crying, a baby raccoon saw her and asked, “why are you sad?”. Luna stopped sobbing and wiped her tears away before answering, “I’m not sad at all. There’s something in my eye that made me tear a little bit.” said Luna. The baby raccoon smiled at her and said, “You’re so pretty! What’s your name?” Before Luna could answer, the baby raccoon’s mother came, and she was agitated. “Rocket! What are you doing? Don’t you know it’s dangerous for you to be outside at this time! We have to wait for the Sun to rise before we can go outside!” said the mother. Then, the mother looked at Luna and whispered, “And don’t you ever talk to her again; she’s bad; that’s why she only appears at night.” Rocket knew at that moment that his mom was wrong. He felt calm talking to Luna, and he believes that she is friendly. Rocket sneaks out every night to talk to the Moon; he likes talking with her; his eyes don’t hurt when he looks at Luna. On that very night, Rocket wasn’t careful enough to sneak out of his home. His mother followed him, and she was surprised to see her son talking to the Moon. At that moment, Rocket’s mom stopped their conversation, grabbed her son back and pulled him into the treehouse. The mom forbids Rocket to talk to Luna, and he cannot go outside after sunset. After that incident, Luna feels even sadder, and she cried and cried. Apollo noticed the tears on Luna’s eyes. He wants to talk to her, but he doesn’t know-how. Little did they know, Lamia the Moon-fairy overheard Apollo when he said it aloud. The Moon-fairy felt bad for Luna, and she thought about doing something nice for her. Lamia asked the fairy Queen Maurelle if she would allow her to intervene with a cause. Queen Maurelle thought about it for some time and said, “You’re a good fairy, Lamia. And I understand how may feel if that makes you happy then as your Fairy Queen of Moonlight Palace I, Queen Maurelle, grant you the opportunity to help others in need. And if ever you’re in doubt, listen to your heart and follow what is right.” The next morning, Lamia, moving swiftly like the wind, left the Moonlight Palace. She had to make sure that no one would see her, especially Apollo. Lamia carefully hid underneath a maple leaf and patiently waited for the Sun to set. She is very excited to see Luna. The Sun finally sets, and the sad Moon appeared. Luna looked so sad and helpless. She saw Rocket looking at her. Luna smiled at him, he smiled back at her, and suddenly, Rocket’s mom pulls him away. Luna saw the sad eyes of her friend, and she understands his situation. Even though the animals weren’t kind to her, she’s hoping that someday they will realize that she is not bad at all. Lamia couldn’t bear it any longer, she felt how sad they are, and her tears fell down her cheeks. She waves her tiny pointy finger and chants her spell: “Oh! Moonlight that glimmers in the sky! Shine oh! Shine my Moon tonight! For it’s your turn to bright so fine! Grant my wish for this moon tonite! Not long after that, the Moon changes to a blue like colour. The animal noticed a sudden change in the sky, and all of them went outside. Luna, on the other hand, didn’t see any difference. After a moment, when all the animals gathered around and looked at her, they gasped in awe and couldn’t believe how pretty she is. Rocket then yelled, “She’s even prettier!. And wow! Look at the sky! It’s beautiful!” The animals that gather around along with her mother looked at him. Then they realized that Rocket is right all along. An hour ago, before the sunsets, Lamia asked Apollo to help Luna out by giving her a little bit spark of his glimmer, and the Sun didn’t hesitate to agree. Lamia then waved her tiny pointy finger to the sky and added a little bit dots that won’t hurt the animal’s eyes. These dots are called the STARS. Every time the Sun sets, all the animals are excited to see Luna. They never get bored to gaze at the moon in the evening, especially when the fairy’s power is reliable every other year. So then, the other animals like wolves like to howl during a full moon to thank the fairy wherever she is. The end.

The Adventures of Alora (p2)
(Part 1 found here) A sudden jolt throws Alora from her bunk along with a few small mechanical contraptions from the shelf above her. A few of them losing parts from the hard impact against the metal floor. Alora, still heavily disoriented, had no time to brace herself as a loud boom caused a massive ringing in her ears quickly followed by the power going out. An odd falling sensation made her stomach churn before red emergency lights switch on. As she tried to stand she felt herself float off the ground. Disoriented and confused a muffled robotic voice reached her ears, though the ringing made it impossible to understand.

Lupine Mandala
I’ve always loved lupine flowers. Named for the wolf because of a mistaken belief that the Lupine depleted or “wolfed” down the nutrients in the surrounding soil, plus some species of lupine are toxic to livestock, they’ve had a sort of love/hate relationship with humans. They do not deplete the soil but enrich it by fixing nitrogen from the air into soil form which helps support other plants. However, there’s that whole poison thing so as beautiful as they are, it’s really best not to eat them.

From god to mortal
Most stories like to make you believe that happy endings are possible. Well, not all of them have happy endings, especially Zynorok's. Zynorok was born in a distant city called Patran. In Patran, there are very few possibilities that one can be born with an extraordinary ability. Zynorok was among the few that were born with abilities. The abilities that Zynorok possessed made him worthy to be deemed a god among others. He was able to fly, control the weather, have superhuman strength and speed, read people's thoughts, and phase through objects. Life didn't always treat Zynorok fair in the beginning; he was bullied and mistreated by other children for being different, and the adults were petrified of him due to his rare powers. As Zynorok would suffer in his youth, he would look for reassurance from the gods. The gods always told Zynorok that there will be a day where he'll be needed most by those who fear him. And that day came. Zynorok, fully developed, with a toned body, peculiarly colored eyes, olive-colored skin, and locs was in full control of his powers and knew he would have to use them to protect the city from the approaching threat. This monster's goal was to devour the entire city and enslave any survivors from his sweep. The monster was over 7 feet in stature, had horns on each side of its head, scaly skin, and demonic-looking eyes. Although there were many dangers of taking on this beast, Zynorok saw this as an opportunity to prove himself to the people of Patran.

Children of Dawn
1. I leaned forward to touch the black stone. My hairy hands reached the coarse, large, broken body of the black stone. It was in front of our cave since the time immemorial. Now it got the reddish brown stains of blood on it. The remnant of yesterday's fight between Khush and Khuman.

The Octopus Tree
“She takes care of me. She always takes care of me.” That was the only way Blair could explain how he survived falling down the hill near his house. He never reached the river at the bottom, and even with it snowing, his parents found him, alive. He should have never survived that accident. That was years ago, and he’s dedicated his life to taking care of her, farming, and producing crops and lumber for years. It doesn’t matter how the season goes; she provides. Blair knows if he takes care of her, she will take care of him. Midday Blair is about to quit for the day. As he moves the tractor into the barn, he sees several cars speed by him. One right after another, each of them filled with people holding signs and screaming out the window. He walks to the end of the driveway; he overhears the train of cars yell, “Save the trees!”
