How sexuality plays into the feminist movement.
Love Yourself
I was twelve when I first learned what masturbation was. I was watching an episode of the British TV show Skins. There was this one character obsessed with a (gay) guy. She snuck into his bedroom and masturbated on his bed to thoughts of him. Now that I am older I see how creepy it was, but at that age I was more focused on the fact that she was sticking her hand down her pants and moaning. I didn't know what that meant, and I was infinitely curious.

The Weird, Sexualized Art of 'Grace and Frankie' by Nancy Rosen
Grace and Frankie is a hilarious, albeit obscure Netflix comedy starring two longtime Hollywood favorites - Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Grace, played by Jane Fonda, is a retired upscale cosmetics mogul, while Frankie, played by Lily Tomlin, is a hippie art teacher who occasionally freelances.

Millennial Men and Nudity
There’s a trend I’ve noticed in recent years: A subgenre of porn called “Ignore” videos, in which the stars are fully clothed and do regular activities (such as talk on their phone or read a book) while ignoring the viewer, have become popular lately. Some men get aroused by being ignored or from the voyeuristic point-of-view. Other “porn” stars (if you can call them that) remain clothed and simply bark directives at the viewer, fulfilling specific fantasies like treating the viewer like a dog or jerk off instruction (JOI).

Ye Olde Kinkery
Bondage and Domination didn’t begin with 50 Shades of Grey any more than pornography began with Deepthroat. The practices, as we know them today, go back over a century. To be fair, they go back much further, but they weren’t formally discussed or written down until it became important to have set rules in London’s Red Light District. Yes, stuck up, posh London society during the reign of Queen Victoria was the soil that grew all those kinky vines we love today. That dirty, dirty soil. It was watered with tears of mourning for thousands of men sent to die around the world in defense of the Empire. The glorious British Empire, on which the sun never set, had a very naughty streak when the sun went down.

What Is a Multiple Orgasm?
There often, as a woman, seems to be an unconscious rejection of the possibility of having more than one orgasm. If men can only have one, perhaps it seems greedy, aggressive, or challenging to want more when with a man. That was a very 20th century perspective uncovered in the informative Hite Report by Shere Hite. Perhaps a woman who does desire more, is "unnatural" or a "nymphomaniac." More Mad Men era hyperbole started by men who probably didn't want to work too hard.

Did I Kill Playboy?
This is a statement that still blows my mind, but I am the only person on the planet that can say it honestly: I was on the cover of Playboy's first non-nude issue. After 63 years of showing every possible part of the female anatomy (and some of the male), the iconic bunny brand shocked the world by deciding to go conservative. And somehow they chose me to represent that shift.

Do Orgasms Feel Different Without Sexual Intercourse?
“Do orgasms with the presence of a penis feel different from those without? In what way?" One reason the clitoral-vaginal controversy remains with us is that the mystique of orgasm during intercourse is still very strong. The idea is that an orgasm during intercourse ("vaginal orgasm") feels much better than an orgasm without intercourse ("clitoral orgasm"). It is this idea which Shere Hite examined as part of the definitive survey on female sexuality.

7 Reasons Feminist Porn Is Better Than Real Porn
To many people, the idea of “feminist porn” is an oxymoron. Porn is often viewed as degrading towards women and some feminists, like second wave feminist Andrea Dworkin, believe that all porn, regardless of the context, is inherently degrading. Those feminists would be wrong. For some women, being empowered means being what BDSM porn star Rain deGray refers to as a, “professional naked person.” Exhibitionism is a common kink after all, so why wouldn't men and women with this kink want to capitalize on it? And with the sexual revolution, why shouldn't women have our own porn, geared towards us, and why shouldn't we embrace it as freedom, rather than write all of it off as degrading?

Shere Hite On the Importance of Masturbation
"Masturbation has helped me to know how to have an orgasm, and to recognize the stages of arousal I go through." My mother recently gave me a book she said changed her life in the late 1970s. Masturbation, in a very real sense, is one of the most important subjects discussed in The Hite Report book by Shere Hite, and was a cause for celebration because it is such an easy source of orgasms for most American women. Many women in the study said they could masturbate and orgasm with ease in just a few minutes. Of the 82 percent of women who said they masturbated, 95 percent could orgasm easily and regularly whenever they wanted. Many women used the term "masturbation" synonymously with orgasm: women assumed masturbation included orgasm.
