Something Darker; Chapter 2
Closing the door, I whisper a charm over it sealing it with magic. Satisfied I walk farther into the room. I drop the saddlebag at the base of the bed and walk to the window. Throwing it open, I look around. "Zanthus?" Whisper into the darkness. When he doesn't respond, I reach out with my mind. Darting into my mind's reach, he lands on the sill. I look at him.

Orakne's Discovery - Part II
Orakne’s grandfather was lying in a water-like circle bed. The bed is transparent, but it is not a liquid. Every household of Genebiev has this kind of water-like bed. It is very soothing to lie there, especially for someone who is sick. His grandfather was quite sick for a long time. Maybe the reason is age. His grandfather was already 750 years old. On Earth, he is 2250 years old since Genebiev planetary revolution is thrice as Earth. A Genebieven’s normal life span is only 700 years or over two millennia on Earth. Fortunately, his grandfather survived that long period.

Shifters
Everyone’s spirit is asleep. So they are predictable, their future is mostly fixed, they can be controlled, this is why we are put to sleep, because only the spirit can transverse the realities, and when someone pops into the domain of another, that person is a new person, they are becoming new so they are no longer predictable and so they are co-creators in a domain controlled by another, a lost soul who does not wish to share power.

Something Darker; Chapter 4
Frowin plods gently down one the street. Zanthus, now in crow form, watches from overhead. Every now and then, a curious bystander glances my way. I have my hood pulled up so they can't see my face, which causes them to watch me a little longer than they would if my hood was down.

Something Darker; Chapter 6
The sun is slowly falling behind the hills in the distance. Our usual evening guests had arrived and were scattered about the main room drinking and being loud. Janice weaved through the tables, filling cups, and managing plates. I could hear mom's voice floating from the kitchen.

Something Darker; Chapter 7
I stand by Frowin, scanning over the letter my mother had left for me. A year after she had passed, Micah and I had each received a letter from her. Letters she had written to us with the intent of them being given to us after she died. I remember the first time I read mine. It was before the Shadow Marks had appeared. Back then, her apologies for the 'mess she had made,' hadn't made any sense to me, but now they were beginning to.

Light through Shadows
Through Yggdrasil we bring life, through Yggdrasil we bring death, through Yggdrasil we are reborn. A throbbing pain overcame my body causing my breath to hitch as I finally awoke. With blurred vision I tried to get a good look around at my surroundings. Crowns Inn? I think to myself seeing the familiar dim lamps placed in every room. The scent of ale and fresh baked bread filled my senses confirming my whereabouts. Taking in a deep breath I cause the sharp pain to return to my side wincing and gritting my teeth in reaction.
