An unnatural whirring outside my window stirs me from a deep slumber. I roll out of bed as silently as I can. Reaching beneath the bed, my hand grasps the shotgun I keep for emergencies. My senses are on high alert now. No one is supposed to know I’m here. At least no one who knows who I really am. I came to get away from the world.

We dive headfirst into the holiday shopping season, searching high and low for the most thoughtful presents to give to our loved ones. Having a cup of coffee in the snow is a match made in heaven.

Sorrows Remedy
I was staring out the window into my neighbor’s yard, admiring her beauty. Some might find this creepy or weird, but they didn’t understand. I have autism, and was uncomfortable socializing with new people. Most times when I tried, people would laugh and make fun of me, or find an excuse to walk away from me.
