New friend
Seraphina looked at her watch, it was exactly 5.37pm and Tolly was already 7 minutes late and the realisation of agreeing to meet her for a coffee was starting to feel like one of my non brilliant ideas. Some people are just supposed to be run into friends, like when you run into old school friends or old work colleagues and you swear to meet up, but both of you know it’s never going to happen, it’s just to be polite.

Til Death Do Us Part
Sarah sat at her desk, her head in her hand as she watched the clock. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. The bell was going to ring any minute and she couldn't wait. It was the last day of school and she was ready to say goodbye to her lame high school and start her summer. She kept her blue gaze on the clock until finally, the bell rang. She quickly swept her books into her arms and jumped up from her seat. "Have a safe summer!" Her English teacher yelled to all the students as they rushed out of her classroom. Sarah made a beeline for her locker where she grabbed her backpack, she started to stuff her things into it as she grabbed her car keys, so she had them at the ready.

Things Left Unsaid
I looked out the window of Susanna’s Dessert Bar, straining my neck to see as much of the street as I possibly could. I was sitting on the little padded bench they have for people who were waiting to be seated. I wasn’t exactly waiting to be seated, I was waiting for my Carlos’ persistently late ass, and growing more annoyed with every second. Friday night at Susanna’s was a standing date for us, but lately he’d been cancelling and rescheduling. It was the first time in three weeks he hadn’t called to reschedule.

To be continued..
Oh what a wonderful day I was having. I could hear it. The music. The drums so close I could feel the vibration in my chest. The heat and the feel of the first raindrop in months. I felt a hand, soft, with long fingers, grab hold of mine and I smiled so big. " She's smiling!, her hand is moving"! , I heard. What was that!

A Slice of Life
There she was, sitting alone in a cafe, again, wondering if she had just made the biggest mistake of her life. She had always dreamed of that perfect life, married to the perfect guy, with the perfect house with the white picket fence, and two little children running around the yard. Now she was worried that dream could never become a reality for her.
