A Vampire's Life - Part 3
January 1st, 1603 His feet pounded along the cobblestones of London's streets, running at the fastest pace he could manage. Scrimshaw had sent him on an errand; a delivery of money as payment for something or other. Bastian knew not what the ancient-looking man had bought, nor did he especially care. The white-haired old bugger had not taught him a single thing in terms of combat. He had taught him useful skills – reading, writing, how to speak (in an attempt to stomp out his accent), and some arithmetic – but those were only taught to him so he could perform the basic duties with which he was entrusted.

The Search for the King of Nowhere
I Long ago, there was a Little Ghost. She lived in an upstairs bedroom in the remains of an old castle. At one time, the Little Ghost had a name but she never told anyone what it was. Few people find the Little Ghost when they look for her, partly because the castle had many broken passageways and abandoned rooms. But still, if you look hard enough, the Little Ghost lives there, tucked among the sprawling corridors, snug in the heart of her favorite place.

Edward sat there thinking. I council member finally broke the silence, "Who is your parentage?" A deep rumbling could be felt under the ground of everyone's feet as my anger was turning to rage yet again. I took a few deep breathes in hopes of calming down before I answered, "I just recently became aware of what I am. Apparently, Amerilla is my mother, but as far as I am concerned Andreo is my dad. Why? Because, he is the one who was there and did eventually end up guiding me to who I am today." Seeing that I was not lying, David spoke for the first time during this interrogation. "King Father, perhaps her biological father will be revealed at the Half-breed Examination you ordered? All head families attend on Examination day. So we reveal her mother to see which vampire reacts. Or simply find true gems in the color of all our eyes and go about it that way?" He was doing it again! Why!?! "Well thought prince," praised another council member. Edward obviously did not like that this idea was brought up, but ended up agreeing. The head council member stood up and declared, "At the Half-breed Examination, the fate of the three of you will be performed.

Eléni & M Move to Athens - Part 16
This new series has its history in the form of several short stories, several poems, and a 13-part series that is linked at the bottom via Part 15 of this series. Anthi Psomiadou has graciously agreed—you already know that she did—to continue to appear as a fictional character also called, Anthi, as she did in the first series. However, this fictional Anthi Kanéna appears to be real somehow, perhaps taking after the real Anthi just by sheer coincidence, intensity, energy, and or some kind of faith. There are two kinds of people. Greeks, and everyone else who wish they were Greek. From My Big Fat Greek Wedding

I was mad by now. "I know all of that! It is the known history. Humans killed other innocent humans. Witches began acting like doctors so that they would overhear gossip of vampires. Vampires are monsters. All of that is history too. I humored you out of my respect for Andreo, but now the hour I promised you is almost up. . . " My head was hurting and my thirst was growing. I needed to control my thirst. . . It was almost as if Andreo could hear my screaming thought. "Lulu?" He motioned for the woman in the corner. I knew her. She was the human who grew (and smoked) the clans tobacco. Her willing smile said she knew it was her time and that she was ready. With a tear trying to form, I asked her "One too many cancer sticks huh?" Her laugh turned into a struggling gasping choke for air. She fell to the floor as she finally caught some shallow breathes. "I am glad it is you," she whispered as she tilted her head to the right exposing her neck. When I was finished, as always, I demanded that I was the one to bury her. It was always granted. I turned back to the strange woman. Softly I spoke, "What is your name again?" She seemed to want give me space. She quickly pushed that aside though. Calmly and respectfully she started again, "As I stated, my name is Amerilla. I am your birth mother and your birth father is Vindal. [At this moment, she held up three gems: a diamond, an aquamarine and a zicron.] Now you know how Andreo saved three lives. Not long ago, I sensed a strong magical will that yearns to be free yet is not. I was able to follow it through the Mist because I have no ill intent on those within it. . . " I looked up at the time, stood up and said (while storming out of Andreo's office), "Time's up."

The Colony
The Colony “I write to you and your brothers a defeated man. This illness has taken much from our family already and it stands to take more. I know you maybe too young to understand what is happening. I am writing you now to tell you about myself. It seems fate has stepped in. I am not going to be there for your moments. All the moments a father looks forward to seeing in his son’s life. I can only imagine seeing in love for the first time. Your first broke heart. I am sorry won’t be there to tell you to keep your head up and there will be someone else. “
