When you're stuck like glue
I begrudgingly drank from a stained glass mug. The contents were supposed to be closer to juice but came out thick and lacked viscousness. The color was also a dulled smoggy brown. The taste seemed muted, with hints of dusty blandness. Laughter erupted in waves in the shanty tavern my cohort and I have settled in. The floors creaked under the slightest pressure of the people’s heels. Once their toes slammed down on the dusty boards plumes of sandy dust billowed up. I had to keep moving locks of my dirty blonde hair out of my face. Barely even a word had left my lips since we arrived, meanwhile you hadn’t stopped talking since you entered.

Boxed In
Routine, monotony, predictability--it makes the heart happy. Wake up. Stretch. Breakfast. Brush your teeth. Shower. Get dressed. Make-up, hair. Ready for the day. Read in the sun room. Read in the kitchen. Lunch with Arnie. Read in the sun room. Dinner. TV. Brush your teeth. Bed.

Searching My Soul
It has been 20 years since I was in high school and I had not thought about it till the day that changed my life. A mysterious drone arrived at my door. I thought oh a gift for the holidays. Sadly it was not. What it concealed were pictures of boys whom I had bullied in high school. I was forced to deal with the massive guilt of my conscience. Sure, every now and then I lost my temper with people. I had left my girlfriend because she was too clingy, even said a lot of hurtful things. I never donated to charity and would rather throw food I didn’t want then donate it to a food bank.

Manster or Mon? Part Four
Feeling as if you're stuck as a shambling corpse yearning to go beyond our current situation. The necrotic tissue still clinging to us, asking us not to change. Stay as you are. Don't change. Barks the pieces of flesh, forever stuck in complacency. Life only works if you work it. Stuck in a rut for far too long. We must proverbially "Shit or get off the pot." Do I stay or do I go, now? He must be willing to risk everything for peace of mind. To never try is to damn yourself from reality. Don't ever trade your thoughts for others. Too much do we search for others veiled validations for virtually no reason. If you never have faith and are unwilling to change uncomfortable situations, your movements will be that of the living dead; Slow, stank, decrepit, and driven only by hunger.

The Postman
There are days life feels so mundane I’d do almost anything to get out of living it. Well, almost anything. I suppose there are a few things I won’t do if I’m still here doing this instead. In a way, I am happy to be sitting in my kitchen on a gloomy Sunday morning–late morning, where you know the sun is hiding brightly behind the clouds but it’s out of sight because the rain is too loud. I get the chance to hear each drop pitter-patter on my tin roof, along the walls. I am in awe every day of these simple delights; like coffee in my cup and a newspaper to thumb.

Box?
EL Supervisor was walking at night during "homeless tour" down the popular historic pacific coast 🛣️ highway. When he suddenly heard an angelic sounding ringing as he got closer to a normal looking carton box 📦 in the middle of the road. A flickering street light lit up this mystery normal looking seal carton box with no labels, logos or packaging of any kind to identify who it belong to or what contents it might have inside. Immensely eager and curious to find out what was making the sound. He try to open it with his blunt box cutter knife, 🔪 but to his surprise the box rattle like if it contain a trap 🪤 wild animal. The ringing noise slowly began fading away while icy noctilucent clouds clear out the darken purplelish night sky 🌌 to make room for the gigantic Blood 🩸 moon eclipse happening.
