Basics of the Reproductive Protocol

By Sindy SiyarathPublished 5 years ago 4 min read

In this section, we will discuss the basics of the reproductive protocol and its requirements to create a fulfilling life for individuals and successful parishes throughout future generations. The goal for each individual parish is to successfully produce offspring that increasingly satisfy the needs of the community. Individuals who lack the necessary requirements will not be permitted to reproduce in order to cull factors that may lead to dissatisfactory levels of productive workers.

Beginning at the age of thirteen, pubescent boys will receive an encrypted key to be worn upon their neck until the age of twenty-two, when the mate selection process begins, while girls will be required to wear a heart-shaped locket until the age of eighteen. These keys and lockets will be given to individuals who have been successfully bred with the appropriate physical and reproductive attributes necessary for the vocational vacancies within their parish. These attributes are ranked on a scale between zero and one hundred, with one hundred marking an individual as “perfect”. Additionally, individuals may increase their viability by completing the LOVE (Locket-Key Ordained Vocational Experience) exam and receiving acceptable marks. Those who opt out of the exam may be at risk of losing their locket or key if an individual who successfully receives adequate marks is able to overcome their lack of exceptional physical and/or reproductive traits.

The LOVE exam consists of three components: general and advanced mathematics, government compliance, and a vocational specific exam used to test one’s understanding of the vocation he or she has been assigned. If successful, individuals, such as yourself, will be able to receive a locket or key from an individual who is unable to be considered as competent in your vocational field or has attributes that are considered less desirable than your own when weighted with the additional points awarded by the LOVE exam. The LOVE exam may be taken once upon your thirteenth birthday and then once more upon your fifteenth birthday. The initial exam requires no fee, however, if the additional attempt is necessitated, a fee of three years of physical labor will be required upon completion of the exam, to which the parish will determine where you will be assigned. If both attempts have been exhausted, no additional exams will be available to you and appeals are unable to be accommodated for these decisions. Upon reaching the age of sixteen, lockets and keys are no longer able to be reassigned and those who were unable to obtain either a locket or key will not be considered a viable partner during the mate exchange, which occurs annually for those who come of age.

Once permanently assigned, each key can open up to three different lockets and each locket is able to be opened by up to three different keys. Individuals are then able to rank each of their proposed mates based on their overall desirability and personal compatibility. Individuals who have received higher ratings from their graded attributes will be given priority and allowed to select their mate first. If a mate is selected, the selected mate is able to either accept or decline the proposal. If an individual is unable to receive a proposal request or declines all proposals after attending the mate exchange three separate years, this individual will be assigned a mate who has also used all three allocated mate exchange passes. Couples who have their mates assigned will be closely monitored for compliance for at least five years but may be monitored longer if deemed necessary by the Office of Reproductive and Vocational Needs.

If no viable positions are available for your pre-determined vocation, options include chemical castration or the removal of reproductive organs. Once completed, you will be assigned to a physical labor camp to be determined by the parish based on current needs. Individuals who decide to forgo either available option will receive a thirty-day notice for compliance from the date of their eighteenth birthday. If no reply is received regarding compliance with either the chemical castration or reproductive surgery, you will be assigned a non-compliance number and relegated to rehabilitation, provided and handled by your Parish Head. The level of rehabilitation will be determined by an interview between yourself, the Parish Head, and a member of the state’s transcription team and will last approximately two to three hours, depending on the individual’s willingness to provide an appropriate response. After one year of rehabilitation, you will be required to undergo an additional interview to determine if a) the rehabilitation has been successful and b) when your reproductive capabilities will be removed. If, after one year, the rehabilitation has not been successful, you will have the option to attempt rehabilitation for an additional year or you may be assigned to undergo assisted euthanasia via IV drip.

Individuals who have successfully selected a mate or have been selected for mating will have up to three years to produce a single offspring. The total number of offspring allowed for each couple will be determined by the average of both individual’s attribute ranks and the rank of their first offspring. If the initial offspring is considered “poor” based on their attributes, no additional offspring will be permitted for the couple. Complaints and appeals may be submitted to the Parish Head, and upon the decision, will decide if the initial decision is sustained or repealed. Only one appeal may be requested. If a couple is unable to produce an offspring within the three-year period, both individuals will also be considered unbreedable and will be required to undergo the aforementioned castration or surgery. An appeal for this decision may be filed within six months after the three-year period has past, and if sufficient reason is provided, an additional one-year extension may be afforded the couple. If this extension is exhausted, no additional appeals or extensions will be provided.

Requests for additional information or inquiries may be directed to your Parish Head or the Office of Reproductive and Vocational Needs at 1-888-166-9455 ext. 5683.
