welcome to life, here's your instruction manual

"its recommended that you exit the doorway with your eyes closed and to brace for the cold as the shock of leaving this warm cozy home. As you feel the squeezing just try to relax. It's much nicer in here I know but they're all waiting for you so it's time to go."

Squeeze!..

and push

... "AND DONT FORGET YOU HAVE TO BREATHE!... phew that was close... next", the voice echoed into the distance

the instruction manual was not the physical kind, though it did read as such, however, it was planted in my mind.

It read as such...

Warnings:

you must breathe at all times otherwise the vessel will fail. (max time without breathing before warranty voided is 119 seconds)

things will hurt... Alot at times, this is normal, it may be unbearable at times but DO NOT terminate the vessel for this reason. It is a design feature used to keep it on the path provided for it

stealing CD's and jewelry during early development will lead to decreased wealth in later life

Escaping from your home and running Infront of motor vehicles may lead to the TERMINATION of your vessel, Though sometimes they stop and the truck drivers return you to your home

(... anymore warning I think of)

Instructions:

Note: all times are just guidelines

Step 1: Allow the vessel to rest and calibrate for the first 6 months (some features will be enabled after this) such as deliberate peeing on caregivers, and basic speech in more advanced vessels

Step 2: Attempt to relocate the vessel without allowing it to grab CD's and Jewelry and stick it in the crack in the wall, climbing on tables peeling and eating bananas is fine. (9-12 months) continue developing speech ability.

Step 3: Begin to play, begin to play with anything and everything you can find, lick things sniff things throw things run, jump, giggle laugh, cry, scream, do whatever you're free to explore and learn during this period. you should be able to communicate to your caregivers about your needs in a way that they can somewhat understand at this point... try not to escape your home and run Infront of trucks (roughly 1.5-2.5 years old)

Step 4: You're a toddler congratulations you're starting to ask aloooott of questions, you may have even begun to form an identity and sense of self around the vessel and have come to believe that IT IS YOU... yes, that's right, it's the "I'M ME?!" phase quickly follow by the "why?" phase (roughly 2.5-4.5 years old) this phase is crucial in developing your awareness and understanding of the world so pay attention, try to behave, and please be grateful and make the most of this freedom play your heart out ... it may feel like a long time, but it truly doesn't last long.

"PUSHHHH" , "ok deep breaths baby"

Step 5: Starting school. Your first day of indoctrination or assimilation training and general education will begin between ages (4.5-5.5) cry to a teacher about missing your mother this shows empathy and grants you cuteness points for leniency for communicating with the other vessels during their indoctrination sessions. be warned not all players are friendly, engage only with those who have some sort of sparkle in their eye.

Step 6: try hard to succeed in their games while maintaining a directional alignment with your deeper quest... gain the trust of their systems excel n school make your p;arents proud play outside and enjoy your years of youth as much as possible be kind take risks and smile , laugh, hug , jump, run and skip alot.

Step 7: high school is more endangering on the hostile players part. continue to do the things you did previously, mature but dont grow up hold onto the innocent childlike perception and attitude towards life but aquire wisdom.. try things but dont rely on things, try not to take family problems and friendship dramas and love dramas too personally but remember as you get hurt you gain more wisdom and experience should you continue to remain unhostile.

Step 7: as far as life after high school goes... the tutorial is pretty much over, a few hints include avoid witches, people who offer you things and invite you into their place, groups that seem too good to be true, corporate enslavement and turning evil.

Good Luck, Enjoy!!

"My goodness I SEE the lights" I say, looking around the room, alien eyes bulging from my sockets
