Preserving Children's Mental Health During Distance Learning
As a veteran teacher turned nanny, I have a unique view into distance learning. I understand the ins and outs of a teachers world that are often incomprehensible to parents, I have sat by frustrated children for countless hours of distance learning, and I have coached parents with frazzled nerves who are doing their absolute best. "Distance learning is better than nothing," is no longer a redemptive silver lining for parents or teachers who have had countless breakdowns at this point. In short, it sucks.

What Do Primary Pupils Want to See in Their Classroom?
Unfortunately, the quality of the physical learning environment is not a priority for many schools, with the focus being more on academic and social progression through quality teaching and an engaging curriculum. Although these are important elements in a child’s life at school, authorities overlook the quality of the physical environment in which primary pupils spend the vast majority of their time. Much of the research into a school’s physical environment focuses mainly on the buildings, seldom touching on the furniture, with very little in the way of an effective wall display and its impact on the pupils. For my Masters in Educational Practice and Research dissertation, I conducted an investigation to research precisely that: what do primary aged pupils want to see in their classroom? How I Procrastinated My Way to a 4.0 GPA in University. Top Story - February 2021.
Full disclosure: my university uses a 12-point GPA scale and conversion isn't as simple as dividing by three. Instead, I had to convert each grade to a 4 point scale and find the average of that figure. In the end, my 11.96 CGPA translated to a 4-point GPA of 3.996. For this article, I'm going to round that out to 4 because it's easier than repeating 3.996 all the time or putting it in the title.

The next morning I knew it was time to “Rise and Grind.” Now I’m not going to lie to you I’m not an early morning person. 9:30 or 10:30 am I can do, but 6:00 in the morning, I don’t know. We’re cutting it kind of close here Captain. I hear the knocks on the doors from SGA and staff, and I knew it was time to make moves. The Expansion of School-Community Partnerships
Across the country, states and communities are mobilizing to focus attention on young children and families, and many benefits could accrue from an integration of community–school efforts with early childhood initiatives. Ample evidence from research supports such integration. Recent studies demonstrate the importance of early cognitive stimulation and early emotional development, development promoted by a nurturing, reciprocal relationship with a primary caregiver and reinforced by others. But for too many infants and toddlers, this relationship gets off to a poor start, with parents who, because of their own circumstances, place their children in jeopardy. To address this need for better early childhood programs, this paper explores ways to promote the expansion of school–community partnerships (S–CPs) into early childhood learning through maximizing federal policy and employing other new strategies.

Defined by Google as a decline in motivation upon reaching the final year of school, 'Senioritis' is one of the most contagious viruses known to man.
