Mommy, there's a new girl
We are all different in many ways and 'Mommy, there's a new girl' which is a children's picture book written by Danielle Webb and David Smith that shows and tells the story of Matilda, a little girl who has dwarfism. Matilda doesn't talk much and the other children make fun of her till one day someone makes the decision on how to make things better. Danielle Webb as the writer shows how one person can make a difference in another's life. Her story is written as a poem in my eyes with some of the rhymes in the various 'stanzas' of the story. David Smith has drawn pictures that will make your heart melt. This is a story of new friendships that form over all differences and find out that you may find something in common with each other. This woud make a good picture book to use in a Social living class.

Sarah Rising
'Sarah Rising' is a children's picture that shows and tells the story of Sarah and she learns about cultural diversity and social injustice in the South. Sarah is a little girl who learns by observing nature and what goes on around her. One day she finds out why she is treated differently from all the others for she is a girl that loves all humans and animals. Ty Chapman writes this story along with DeAnn Wiley who illustrated it. DeAnn's drawings visualizes Ty Chapman's words. 'Sarah Rising' is a good picture book that can be used in an elementary classroom all the way through college for book discussions in courses dealing with social studies , social diversity and justice for all. It asks the question 'Why can't we all just get along?'

It's Just a Bunnypalooza
Brenda Foatz and Peter Trimarco has created a children's picture book that is quite a different Easter story. 'It's Just a Bunnypalooza' is the story of a little girl by the name of Lizzy who had a talent she needed to find. Lizzy has many friends that are both human and animal. Brenda tells the story through her chosen words as Lizzy hunts for her special talent. Peter has drawn pictures that little readers will like that tells the story and show how the various words that Lizzy speaks shows feeling. This is also a good book that parents will read and enjoy with their kids and some of the many lessons that we all need to learn at various moments of our lives.

Dark Obsessions A Kate Barnes Thriller
Who likes a mystery? Marie Sutro has written a murder mystery entitled 'Dark Obsessions' that is a Kate Barnes thriller. This mystery seems to carry on what the main character of Kate Barnes, who is a detective that needs to pull herself together from what happened on a previous case that has affected her in many ways. Kate also has some personal issues to work through and it seems that a trip to the Northwest United States could be the place where answers could be found in more ways than one.

Two Ships
'Two Ships' a novel written by James P. Redwood is a story that will take you back in time. James P. Redwood wrote a book that is historical fiction that is all about how a boy named Piotr Nowak learns about how to survive in many circumstances that are presented to him. This is the story of very early America and Canada and how crews of sorts meet and solve dilemmas. There were a few favorite parts to this story that I really enjoyed. One part was actually 'seeing' the journey from Europe on the ship for the James to me was quite visual in his writing. He also showed how Piotr lived and learned while on the ship. Also, I liked their journey into the wilderness of the New World. The sketches at the beginning of each section were just enough to make me want to keep reading to see what happens. This is a book that would make a good discussion course in writing to show how the past and present do show various relationships between all kinds of people no matter the time period. This is Book one of a series that is clearly a novel written by a show and tell author.

The Collector
Nora Roberts has written 'The Collector' that to me is a friendship and romance story about how two totally different people like Lila and Asher can find companionship and friendship in dealing with death. Lila is a house sitter who happens to see a most devastating event while on the job. Asher is an artist who is a person trying to understand what his brother was all about. Nora Roberts has written a story that will have the reader wondering right to the end. Lila and Asher will discover many aspects of living life and solving various issues no matter how serious.

Inheritance
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors mainly for the mystery of the stories. Nora Roberts has written 'Inheritance' that is the first book of the 'Lost Bride Trilogy'. This is a story that occurs in the state of Maine on the coastline in a beautiful manor house. The main character of Sonya finds out one day in Boston that she owns a very intriguing house in Maine. Sonya has been cheated on by her fiancé with her cousin and now Sonya needs a new way to understand herself better. Sonya will have to deal with some very unusual personages when she 'claims' her inheritance and learns more about herself, her dad and all around her. This is quite the fast-paced read and this reader cannot wait for Book two of this series. Nora Robers paints (writes) a story that one can visualize.

Out of the Picture
'Out of the Picture' A Shepherd's Sisters novel is a family story written by Tracy Gardner that is also published by Hallmark. This is the story of Savanna, Sydney, Skylar, Aiden and a few others. It is a story of art and what it means. Savanna is an elementary art teacher that used to be an art authenticator for a museum where she 'researched' art to see what is real or fake. Savanna is on a mission to help out a very close friend of herself and her family. I wonder if this could become a Hallmark movie for Tracy has a created a page turner of a mystery for all. It is a fast read with easy to read type.

Original Quantum Leap vs. Quantum Leap 2023
I enjoyed both the original Quantum Leap and the new one. One criticism of the new one I disagree with is when they complain about Ben Sung travelling outside his lifetime but Sam Beckett di travel outside his lifetime on one occasion and the show explained how Ben Sung was able todo so. Also the computer would have been upgraded after 30 years. In both shows all the characters are likeable.
