Despite Any Appearances to the Contrary, Black People Are Not Okay
Before you ask, the answer is an unequivocal “No.” The response will not necessarily be professional or polite, or even articulate, nor taken through proper channels. It will not be as per guidelines enacted by an impartially selected steering committee conducting an AGM after the quorum met and meeting minutes painstakingly recorded.

Chauvin Trial: Act Two
OH MY Goodness! So I opened up the trial today and the Defense is examining their witness who is an expert on carbon monoxide... this argument is that Floyd died because Chauvin held his head near the tail pipe of the squad car. Like... how is his better for Chauvin?

9 Minutes 29 Seconds
If this were a play, perhaps a grand Shakespearian style play, set in a modern and virtual Globe Theater, we’d know the cast. The hero who meets a tragic end, the lady who has lost him, the villain who admits no crime. I get to be the narrator and at the beginning, I shall stride from the wings into the center stage. I’d be small on the grand stage, just a slender little man with a long brown braid, in cargo pants and a tie-dyed hoodie, nothing much to look at, but my movements, the way I carry myself would fortend some great story. The orchestra would slowly fade away, as I lean forward, my hands making a grand gesture framing my face, now the only fully lit feature of the stage.

The Ugly Phenomenon Of Asian Hate!
After hearing about the events of Asian hate crimes over the past year and then seeing the event in Atlanta, I got to thinking about it and discussing it with a friend. I'll grant, what he said, made sense to me on some level. He told me if everyone thought about it as simply as I did maybe it would be a better place. Granted, my thought process is simple sometimes. Especially when it comes to people. Because people are far too complex to be simplified. It's frustrating though, so I'm going to have a frank discussion on paper about hate.

George Junius Stinney Jr.
George Junius Stinney Jr. is the youngest person in United States history to be executed, at the age of 14. I cannot remember what I was reading when I saw his picture for the first time. I know that the fact that the state of South Carolina electrocuted a 14-year-old child made the food I had eaten try to leave my body. There are certain certainties life drills into your mindset and America’s “justice system” (like many other fixtures in America) not classifying Black Americans as qualifiers for fair treatment is one of them. This was perhaps more blatant in 1944 but do not be brainwashed into believing that we have overturned that system. A system set in steel, encased in metal, grander than the Great Wall of China, and sturdier than the wall that tumbled in Berlin.
