The Night I Lost My Virginity
You have made it this far, so you deserve to know more. I have promised myself that any embarrassing moment I felt did not paint me in a positive light would be considered carefully…and then thrown into the pot. And why not? We all have done it, or we wish to have done it, or we want to do it in the near future as soon as possible. From the loneliest basement dweller to the most desperate housewife flipping through a Harlequin romance, it is on all of our minds. And this might offer some insight on how to get more of it in one’s own life and to actually enjoy it. After all the embarrassing other moments in my life that you have read about – the hot air balloon fiasco; the questionable reallocation of funds at the Vatican; my role in the breakup of Charles and Diana, etc. – this needs to be discussed.

Nonetheless, the story has it that Queen Eleanor did not rest until she found the labyrinth and traced it to the center, where she uncovered her ravishing rival. The queen offered her death by blade or poison. Rosamund chose the poison. Perhaps not coincidentally, Henry kept Eleanor confined in prison for 16 years of their marriage.

The Roadtrip of a Lifetime
For the past 7 months I have been working on the lovely island of Guam and there I learned how important our connection to others truly is. When we connect to others it makes the world seem so much smaller and more enjoyable. My roommate and coworker named Drew was one of the best humans I have had the pleasure of meeting. So, when I told him of my plans to road trip with my best friend through Arizona there was an even greater moment. Drew laughed and told me his dad was a tour guide out there for Pink Jeep Tours. It reminds me that there are no coincidences, just the universe putting people where they should be.

As far as my memory and hearsay combine to form a vague understanding of my history—a mismatch of facts, experiences, and something slightly similar to the stain on my favorite shirt that I don’t really know what the hell it is—I would say that this was, quite frankly, my life. The details may have been nicely airbrushed, like a social media photo, but they still at least bear some resemblance to reality.
