How I Cured My Acne
Dealing with acne was one of the most draining experiences of my life. Through my whole teenage years, I never suffered with bad skin (well, maybe the occasional spot and blackhead), however, during the summer of 2018 I flew to New York. Due to never taking care of my skin, and having my only ‘skin care routine’ be taking my makeup off with a wipe, and splashing water over my face, I went onto this flight with absolutely no idea of what was to come. Wearing a full face of foundation, concealer and powder on an eight-hour flight is apparently not the best idea…

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel Review
I've been using this cleansing gel from Mario Badescu ever since I got it as a gift in my stocking for Christmas a couple years ago. It's a best-seller on the Mario Badescu website, and for very good reasons! For way too long I had been wondering why my problem skin was not clearing up, and why my skin always seemed irritated, even though I was washing my face daily. As it turns out, I didn't know that my over-exfoliating was causing the problem. Since I was using an exfoliating wash everyday, instead of just a few times per week, my skin wasn't really improving like I wanted it to. I very quickly realized that I needed to get a face wash that would be gentle on my skin for everyday use, and my mom bought this cleansing gel for me on a whim. I've never been happier with a product than I have been with this one!

Stress and Your Skin
Stress is a normal part of our everyday lives, in fact, its expected, and comes in all shapes and sizes. From weddings and a new addition, to the family, to your car breaking down in the middle of the highway, and not paying the cell phone bill on time, we all experience stress in one form or another. Stress is caused by a chemical response in the brain, which releases the hormone Cortisol thus triggering the “Fight or Flight” response. When we do nothing, Cortisol is left in the body without use, and can cause damage to our bodies over time including issues with our hair, skin, and nails. Stress can actually cause skin to become more sensitive and oilier, which can lead to moderate to severe breakouts; women, who are more prone to stress, and show more physical signs of stress, may see shifts in their menstruation cycles, which can also cause breakouts, and possible delay, or halt, of their monthly periods.
