Club Night #2
About 9 months ago, I floated an idea of a night out that really only exists in my own head. The idea of a club night with a singular band as the focus is not a new one, there is a club in Manchester that regularly hosts after-parties after gigs held all over the city.

Passion Is No Ordinary Word - The Music Of Graham Parker
Introduction As often happens in these musical appreciation/playlist hybrid Vocal Stories I don't really remember when I first came across the music of Graham Parker. With The Rumour, he was part of the British pub rock movement that set the foundation for the punk explosion of 1977.

If you're like me, you have a million Spotify playlists for pretty much anything and everything. From working out to extremely specific forms of synesthesia, I have a playlist for almost everything, even if they are not entirely universal. However, almost everyone has that one playlist they put on after a break up or whenever they've had a stressful day at work and just need to cry.

22 Non-English Musicians to Add to Your Playlists
I recently downloaded an app called Slowly, where users from all over the world write letters to penpals. After exchanging letters with several people from non-English countries, I decided to expand my musical palette, and try to fulfill my love of learning about other cultures. Looking for artists from other countries leads to mostly K-Pop suggestions, and there's nothing wrong with this, but I wanted to expand my search just a little more. After finding multiple artists I'd never heard of, I gave a bunch a listen, and I wanted to narrow down my discoveries for anyone else who might be on the lookout for some new, talented, international music. In no particular order, here are twenty two great musicians from other countries.

This list is a mishmash of songs for those that go through different heartbreaks. No matter how it happened, whether it ended for you in a blindsided way you or you had to be the one to end it. The pain is still there because you shared time with that person. You thought you would be together with them.

Thirty of the Best Song Lyric Lines of All Time
Encouraged by various posts I have seen on Facebook and other social media platforms, I have decided to compile a list of some of my favourite song lyrics from tunes I have heard and sung-along-to over the years. The list that follows is constructed in no particular order and with no definite theme in mind. In fact, I may have even forgotten some of the best ones. This list just happens to be the list from this moment. If I were to compose such a compilation in a year’s time or while on my way out of this world, the items contained therein would likely be at least a little different.

30 Great Songs of Donna Summer. Top Story - December 2022.
Donna Summer achieved major success throughout her career. She made it into the Top 10 with 14 songs in the US and has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. To this day her albums still sell about 1.5 million copies per year every year and her fan base is as strong and fervent as it was in the 1970s. I love Donna Summer. Her voice was amazing. I would go so far as to call her one of the greatest vocalists of all-time.
