Punk culture LIVES.
We live in completely different times then those that punk dominated in the 80's and 00's. Punk culture has decreased in size for sure. This page isn't some bullshit that's going to make you think punks are dominating the world, but it's something that'll hopefully open your eyes.

Bands that should be on your radar
There is more of a chance for other rising musicians to make a name for themselves, and they have, but it's not the same acclaim as popular bands that got lucky for worldwide spread or had to work harder to get the name out there. The bands I have discovered the past years have had positive praises but not enough of a fanbase, it almost seems like it's an underground movement since it's not in the mainstream. We all love the same bands but at some point it gets tiring to see the same bands over and over again in the media or hearing it on the radio repeatedly. When there is other talent out there that just hasn't gotten that same treatment. Here is my list of bands you should listen to.

From the UK to the Sunset Strip
For a 16yr old kid living on a West Yorkshire council estate, the Sunset Strip in LA, California, would usually have no bearing or effect on their life, yet I and many of my friends from that time in my life could not have been more connected to the sleazy, rock n roll dreams played out in the infamous Rainbow Bar and Grill and its sister venue The Whiskey a Go Go.

Suzanne Carroll, aka Suzic, is a singer, songwriter based in Waterford, Ireland. She was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1967. On Music and Mistakes
When I first heard of this scholarship, I thought, “Oh, how easy! I listen to music all the time!” As I began to think about it, however, I realized that I didn’t actually have a song that changed my life. Of course I have had songs that I absolutely adore, that make me cry, that make me scream out against the injustices of the world... After all, my music has shaped me into the person I am. However, I have never had a song that truly saved me. So I kept this scholarship in the back of my mind, but was ready to let it go if I couldn’t think of one.

"Manage Me, I'm a Mess"
This is the story about the song that started it all. The song that introduced me to my love of music. The song that convinced me that I am in fact in love with music. The song that has led me to attend almost 70 concerts in my 25 years on this Earth. The song that helped me realize that music would never let me down, that it would be there whenever I needed it, no matter how I was feeling. The song that would help me understand how important music is to me and how much I really need it in my life. This is the story about THE song that started it all.

Will "The News" go on without Huey?
The first time I heard the name "Huey Lewis and the News" was when a friend asked me if I wanted to go see them in concert. It was 1981. I looked at him and asked, "Who the heck is Huey Lewis and The News?" In '81 I was listening bands like: REO Speedwagon, Styx, The Police and Journey. The name made me think a band from the 50's. I told my friend I would pass. It was a decision I lived to regret.
