Why I Am Fine With Second Hand Vinyl
Introduction Several years ago my friend Marek at RPM in Newcastle persuaded me to buy a second-hand reconditioned record player. I was impressed by the looks and sound, he came and set it up and since then my vinyl record collection has increased significantly.

The Four Irish Folk Songs. Content Warning.
Introduction I saw this meme and thought I wonder if I can categorise Irish Folk Songs using these five headings, maybe two songs in each category. I know that this may not fit with the various Folk purists but I will share it in various Facebook Folk Groups and see what reactions I get.

'Pet Sounds'
What new can one say about Pet Sounds? Entire books have already been written about Brian's master opus; numerous documentaries address it in detail. The May 1966 LP has been mentioned and detailed in almost every list of the greatest albums of the rock era. To me and many others, it is indeed the greatest album of all time, though it typically competes with a number of albums by Bob Dylan and the Beatles, of late often beaten in that category by the Beatles' Revolver album, released later in 1966.

Truth And Lies
Introduction This was inspired by an Instagram post I stole that said: Then I thought about songs in my collection about truth and lies. I have lied a few times to get jobs, although I did have the confidence to know that I would be up to speed in a few days in the position, although I have been responsible for seeing some who had lied about their ability and then not able to do the job, out of the door.

Divorce - Drive to Goldenhammer - Album Review
I've been planning to review more music since the reviews I posted of Franz Ferdinand's The Human Fear and Mogwai's The Bad Fire. I loved the new album from Squid called Cowards—it's odd, and dark in context but with really interesting bright-sounding noises and strange lyrics. Very proggy too. I also love the new Japanese Breakfast album and the new Courting album. For today's review though, I wanted to talk about Divorce's debut album Drive to Goldenhammer.
