MAYLIE (born December 2, 2004) is an international pop artist and songwriter, known as Somelsy on Instagram.

Born into a musical family and raised in a quiet town near the capital, she was immersed in music from infancy. As the granddaughter of a guitarist from a vocal-instrumental ensemble, she began experimenting with the guitar and synthesizer even before she could speak. It was her grandpa who instilled in her a lifelong love for music. Her Instagram account is entirely dedicated to her grandfather's guitar collection. The collection includes about 10 guitars of various ages, even from the 1980s.

The artist has developed an expansive creative universe. Her songwriting does not focus on traditional themes of romantic love; instead, it explores the internal world of the self. Her lyrics document the duality of existence and the conflict between self-love and self-hate, acceptance and denial.

At age 16, inspired by the global influence of the South Korean group BLACKPINK, she transitioned to writing exclusively in English. Her future singles, 'Party And Escape', 'She Got A Face' and 'Merry-Go-Round', serve as the foundation for her debut album.

Maylie is a conceptual pop artist and songwriter who creates an expansive creative universe centred around her alter ego. It's not just a name, it's a whole story. The so-called 'project' was conceived, written and began to be produced when she was almost a child. Anastasia Maly, who was 16 years old and had not even finished school, began to wonder what to do with her life next. Devoted herself to what she wanted to do next. She enrolled in the country's best creative university to study Design. Maylie is currently completing her Bachelor's Degree. The artist is not only an artist under the pseudonym Maylie, but also an executive and creative producer.

What we know about Maylie from the recent interview? She says she has so many interests that it’s hard to list them all - sometimes she can’t even remember everything she loves herself. Girl has a special affection for animals, especially red pandas and forest cats.

The funny fact that she is often seen wearing headphones and jokingly calls herself 'headphone girl', since she feels much more comfortable with them on.

This 'kid' admits she adores teddy bears and would love for that image to be associated with her. Colors also play an important role in her aesthetic - especially purple and red, with red being her favorite when it comes to clothing.

Speaking about music, she recalls a time when she was deeply into K-pop (BLACKPINK, LE SSERAFIM), which once occupied a big part of her life. Her favorite TV series is Gotham, even though she doesn’t consider herself a fan of the DC universe overall.

Maylie notes that she is drawn to a dark, slightly eerie atmosphere, particularly in music. At the same time, she mentions her own 'universe', which, according to her, is much deeper than it may seem at first glance - but she prefers to talk about that separately.

Photography holds a special place in her life. She knows that many people criticize those who take pictures of everything, but she finds that strange - after all, she considers herself a truly good photographer.

Maylie adores an aesthetic of soft violet hues, plush teddy bears, colorful balloons, and Y2K style, creating a dreamy and playful atmosphere that feels both comforting and expressive.

Not much is known about upcoming releases. It is unclear when we can expect the debut single to be released. According to Maylie, it should happen towards the end of 2026 or early 2027.
