Sometimes when we least expect it we get flooded with memories. Some can be happy, and some can be sad. Usually, there is someone we miss and wish to be with them. Some are fond memories of days that will never come again.
“Let’s Make a Night to Remember” is a song that was written by the Canadian rock singer and songwriter Bryan Adams and Robert John “Mutt” Lange. The song was recorded by Adams in 1996 and is the second single from his album 18 Til’ I Die. The song’s music was inspired by the rock and pop music from the 1980s. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the eighth number one single for Adams on the Canadian RPM 100 Hit Tracks chart and also went to number one on the UK Rock chart.
“I’ll Remember April” is a popular song and jazz standard with music written in 1941 by Gene de Paul with lyrics by Patricia Johnston and Don Raye. The song made its debut in the 1942 Abbot and Costello film “Ride ‘Em Cowboy.” The lyrics use the seasons of the year to metaphorically illustrate the growth and death of a romance. Using April is the idea of a spring month when thoughts turn to romance. It was also featured in the 1945 film by the same name. It has been recorded in many different versions.
“Don’t Forget to Remember” is a country ballad that was recorded by the British-Australian pop group the Bee Gees. It is featured on their album Cucumber Castle. The song was written by Barry and Maurice Gibb.
“I Remember the Feeling” is a delightful song that was performed by two of The Monkess Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones with the American musical duo Boyce & Hart
“Don’t Say You Don’t Remember” is a song that was written by Helen Miller and Estelle Levitt. The song was originally recorded by the music artists The Goggles in 1970. A version was recorded by the American singer Beverly Bremers in 1971. It is featured on her album I’ll Make You Music. Her version became popular and charted on the Billboard Adult Contemporary and the Billboard Hot 100 charts. When the song got radio airplay in California during the month of December, it had much greater American chart success in the winter of 1972.
"(Remember Me) I'm The One Who Loves You" is a song that was written and originally sung by the American singer and songwriter Stuart Hamblen in 1950. It was a hit when it was recorded by the American singer and actor Dean Martin and is covered by the American country singer and songwriter Johnny Cash and is featured on his debut album Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar. Hamblen’s version charted on the Billboard chart Best-Selling Retail Folk (Country & Western) Records.
“Remember When” is a country song that was written and recorded by the American country singer and songwriter Alan Jackson. Released in 2003 it is the second and final single from his compilation album Greatest Hits Volume II. The song went to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Jackson looks back on his life with his wife and describes their love from their first time together through raising their children.
“Remember a Day” is a song that was recorded by the English rock band Pink Floyd. It was written and sung by their keyboardist, Richard Wright. It is featured on their album A Saucerful of Secrets from 1968. The dreamy poetic lyrics are about nostalgia for the lost paradise of early childhood.
“Try to Remember” is a song about nostalgia from the musical comedy play “The Fantasticks” in 1960. It was the first song performed in the show. It was written by the American lyricist Tom Jones with music by Harvey Schmidt. The song was sung by the American singer and actor Jerry Orbach in the original off-Broadway production. It has been recorded by many other singers.
