My Grandma, the ghost guardian
I never knew my paternal grandma, she died before I could form any memory of her. I met my maternal grandma maybe three times in my life, so I missed that bond between grandmothers. Truth be told, both of my grandfathers also died before I was born. It never really impacted my upbringing then, but now I hear others sing of all the many wonderful virtues of grandparents and realize how much I had missed.

Prickly expressions which are thought racist and should perhaps be avoided
I read this list of expressions in the news and thought...Hmmm! Is it important to know the mainly dark reasons behind some of these words and phrases which we use every day? Granted, many people in the comment section were very disgruntled that someone took the time to research the meanings and make them available to the public. They parried that someone is just looking for more reasons to pander and ponder racism.

Secrets of a Queen bee
Massa had me tend the bees. I understand them and they understand me. They be biting me so many times, that now they no longer do. I believe that the bee venom in now a part of my blood and they can smell and sense it. I read in secret about the likes of bees.

Beautasia the unicorn loved to watch the rainbows. On any damp, cool day after the rains fell, you will find her on a hilltop or the tallest mound admiring the wonderful magic of arching colors high up in the sky. She always looked around carefully to make sure that the inquisitive beings who were always searching for her were not around to disturb her sky gazing moments. She was the last unicorn in existence, Beautasia had searched high and low to try to find others like herself, but alas, she had found none so far. Still, she will never give up her search.
