Fruit Jello
I have a sister who is four months older than me. Okay, she’s my step-sister, but we’ve been together since we were both five years old, so we are close. We are almost as close as twins. As any kids who grow up together, we could speak to each other without uttering a word or a sound.

Thinking back on all the beautiful dishes I’ve had throughout my life, I could write about chicken and dressing, tamales, pumpkin pie, or many other entrees I have had. Fancy dishes that would have your mouth watering like crazy. Instead, I will write about a simple, plain chocolate cake made for me with so much love.

Window Talk
Jimmie was sitting at his bay window in his desk chair in his bedroom, upset that he was grounded for stealing an Almond Joy candy bar from the convenience store earlier this morning. He knew it would be a long two weeks confined to his bedroom. His father had removed all the electronics from his room earlier to reinforce his punishment. He only had his books, pens, markers, and paper.
