Across the table
If you were sitting across or next to me at my favorite coffee shop down the road, I would ask how you are doing. Not just one of those generic questions that people often ask when passing, but one of those look into your eyes genuinely asking you how you are kind of questions. You can tell me the extraordinary things going on in your world, but I honestly just want to know how and where your heart is.
