To Love Yourself
When I see posts on a Facebook Vocal thread mine is usually the one that has no reactions though everyone else has one. Often that reaction is mine, so I have started loving my own posts so I don’t feel ignored. It’s not cheating, but we all have to have confidence in ourselves and love our work. This is a butterfly cinquain about this situation.

Preternatural by Moulettes
Introduction - An Album That I Almost Never Played I am not sure why I bought this album, in fact, it was on my Discogs store because I didn’t think I would listen to it again. Then I just put it on and got blown away by the opening song, which is absolutely monstrous in a very impressive way. It has been described as progressive pop and the album impressed a lot of progressive rock journalists on its release in 2017.

The Scooter
I kept seeing those orange electric scooters and the first time I loaded the app, it seemed a bit expensive for me for what you got, So I deleted it and decided the bus and shanks pony would be enough for me, but seeing kids and adults speeding around on them made me think it might worth trying just for local journeys where the bus is either infrequent or non-existent.

A Joyful Feline
A Feline Introduction The title is a play on words. Yesterday I was feeling really down due to a hospital visit, worry about the outcome and when I actually got there my appointment was over an hour late, and I was sure t least two people came after me but were seen before me by the consultant but that was probably just a paranoid delusion.

New Boots and Panties - Ian Dury and The Blockheads
My first exposure to Ian Dury was as lead singer with Kilburn and the High Roads (named after a road sign in the London area) with the album “Handsome” and songs like “Rough Kids” and “Bill Bentley”, and most of their songs were Dury originals. They were pub rockers with a cockney sparkle and Dury class.

Viva Glasvegas
Around 2008 in the same ballpark universe and country as the Jesus and Mary Chain, a name appeared that demanded an immediate investigation, and that name was Glasvegas. I can’t remember how I first heard them, probably on BBC 6Music but I heard them and immediately had to have that album.

Avalon by Roxy Music - A Beautiful Soundscape
Introduction - Me And Roxy Music I was into Roxy Music from when their first single was released, “Virginia Plain” which apparently referred to a painting that Bryan Ferry had done or seen with a woman smoking in an open land panorama, so “Virginia Plain” could have referred to the location, the cigarette or the woman. That was followed by their eponymous stylish first album blending rock and roll, electronics, and styles that made them unique. I saw Ferry as the songwriter and Eno as the soundscaper with help from Manzanera and McKay.
