Some Vocal Statistical Observations
Introduction I know this will probably be of no interest to a lot of people, whenever I bring these things up with people the lack of interest is almost deafening but I am going to write about it anyway. That is the good thing about platforms like Vocal and Medium is that you can write about virtually anything you choose and it will be published. Whether people will read or not is a different matter, but it is other peopleβs choice whether to read what you create and produce.

Street Revolution by Louise Distras
Introduction Today I recieved a Facebook friend request from Louise Distras. I was a little suspricious at first as spammers and the like take names and then send friend requests, then mine your friend list to spam them.

Darkness Comes
This is a villanelle for Halloween from a prompt by Cathy Holmes here, but as always I make it difficult for myself. I am trying not to include any definite Halloween touchstones, but also am putting together a reading of my Edgar Allen Poe inspired βAnother Ravenβ that you can read at the end of this poem.

Brevity
The Idea I was wondering how little I could get away with writing in a poem. Taking the concept of brevity as far as I can. I did posit the concept of a one-word poem in my poem βImpossibleβ (check it out at the end of this story), but I will do a FIB (Fibonacci poem) followed by a Haiku.). I am expecting no reads for this, not because people donβt read it, but because the poems are so short and people will not stay here long.

A Conventional Playlist - Reggae Stylee
Introduction I just shared a story about alternative Elvis Presley experiences which you can check out at the end of this story, but one of thesongs I featured in that piece was Dead Zeppelin's cover of Led Zeppelin's "Your Time Is Gonna Come" featuring Tortelvis on vocals in a really fun video, and thought why not create a playlist with a theme of mainstreamish songs done reggae style. So even though they are not Jamaican Reggae we will kick of with Dread Zeppelin.

Dirk Wears White Socks
This is another story about #CatsinNam, well one cat in βNam (Thatβs Fenham, not Viet-Nam). As you know part of my steps regime to keep myself reasonably fit is to walk around taking photographs of cats, incidentally, some new neighbours also have a cat so there may be more to share in future.

More Thoughts On Vocal Interaction
Why I Am Writing This I saw the lead image, a quote from Stephen King about the situation being if you want to be a writer then you have to read a lot more than you actually write. This is an unstructured article with my observations on how we should interact with others to improve ourselves and be able to consider ourselves as writers.

King Charles - Loveblood
A Little Background Around ten years back my daughter told me about the amazing guy she had seen live. She has excellent musical taste (takes after her dad) and we both went to see him at an all-day Festival at Hoults Yard in Byker and at the new Riverside next to the Tyne in Newcastle.
