I Have Achieved Nothing On Vocal
Introduction The title is pure clickbait but I look at my friends' profiles and see their Vocal achievements, first place in this challenge, runner up in that challenge and so so on then look at the blank space on mine. This piece is going to be super positive.

He hated the number thirteen He had been indoctrinated to believe it was unlucky They said Judas Iscariot was the thirteenth person at the Last Supper, but weren't there twelve Apostles and Jesus so wasn't Jesus number thirteen? He did come off pretty badly and Judas got thirty pieces of silver.

A Wander Back Through Vocal's Top Stories
Introduction I don't know what prompted this, although I did a piece on the history of Vocal's Challenges which I have included at the end of this story. I also was not sure how to approach this either, but how I have decided to do it is to include the first ever Top Story, the last Top Story at the time of publishing this, my own first and last (you got to do some self promotion) then one for each of the seven years that we have had Top Stories.

Winning
What should they do? This was a dilemma. Should they tell people or keep a secret? They had never had this dilemma before and it had only happened because they had been so desperate and just picked up what they thought was a note in the street.

Theremin - A Playlist
Introduction The theremin is an unconventional electronic instrument, named after its Soviet inventor LΓ©on Theremin in 1928, and which doesn't require any contact to be operated. The fruit of research into proximity sensors, the theremin's setup is usually consisting of two metal antennas that sense the distance to the player's hands and react accordingly, one controlling the volume of the sound, and the other controlling the frequency and therefore the pitch. By moving both hands in the air and changing the distance to the antennas, musicians produce an eerie electronic sound.

The Echo Will Never Die
Introduction The painting image with a story of Echo and Narcissus is here: Echo and Narcissus is a myth from Ovid's Metamorphoses, a Roman mythological epic from the Augustan Age. The introduction of the myth of the mountain nymph Echo into the story of Narcissus, the beautiful youth who rejected Echo and fell in love with his own reflection, appears to have been Ovid's invention The myth came to mind and thought it would be a starting point for a poem about feeling rejected or unloved, or mistreated by someone. In this I wanted Echo to have a happy, loving resolution.
