Imagine Love A Novel
Katherine Stone has written a romance novel entitled 'Imagine Love' A Novel. This is a story that travels from the United States to Great Britain back to the United States. The story of Cole and Claire and a relationship with music that is personal and professional. The story starts with Cole taking his baby brother to safety but telling everyone that he died. The other story that is interrelated to Cole and Claire's story is the one that deals with Lady Sarah Pembroke and the relationship with a Jack Dalton who will have a surprise for all. This is a story that mainly takes place around Christmas Eve and New Years Day. Katherine Stone is quite descriptive in her characters, settings in the story and plot dealings that will have you reading to see what happens to a country singer of love songs to his cherished girlfriend and even his two-year-old brother he said died.

Playing for Pizza
John Grisham famous for his legal stories like 'The Client' and 'The Pelican Brief' has written a football story entitled 'Playing for Pizza' a story about a fictional NFL football player named Rick Dockery and his ups and downs with American football and becomes the quarterback for the Parma Panthers. Rick has some decisions to make about his career and what he really wants to do with his life. This is somewhat based on a true story. This is also a story that will give you a tour of Italy from the food and wine to the history as well when Rick goes along with his gal pal on her journeys.

The World of Nursing
In this series of articles and I am not sure on how many there will be I will be describing nursing skills and how they may or may not have changed over the years. It will be a series that will include history as well as how nurses' notes in patient charts have changed. The articles will have an individual skill as in handwashing, which is one of the very first skills that one learns as a nurse or in any caring profession. I plan on typing the skill verbatim from my nursing textbooks and comparing that with another version of handwashing from another caring profession or from how they washed hands in the past (giving credit to that author of that textbook.) Then I will describe the differences if there are any.

The Dead
'The Dead' is a youth novel written by Charlie Higson. I found this book in my grandnephew's old bedroom after he moved. This is a zombie story that covers the gambit of rich and poor. It is a story of adult zombies attacking kids after becoming infected. This is a story that Charlie Higson shows and tells how youth can overcome diversity in many ways. To me the scenes depicted are quite graphic at times. You can see the similarities to a television program known as 'The Living Dead' except with kids in the lead. It is a quick read and at times quite intriguing.

Shelter of Hope
At times I am a reader of the Harlequin romance story. They are not always just about love and sex. There are a lot of them that are purely very good family stories like 'Shelter of Hope New Friends Street written by Lyn Cote. This is the story of Marc Chambers and Rosa Santos and how they help each other in many ways. The main plot of this story is in how a community can come together to help one of its own.

The O'Hurley's
Nora Roberts also had a second volume of two books for 'The O'Hurley's'. These two books are titled 'O'Hurley's Return' and the individual books are entitled 'Skin Deep' and 'Without a Trace'. 'Skin Deep' is the story of another sister by the name of Chantel who is mainly all business with her decisions on life and relationships and 'Without a Trace' is all about their only brother who is close to his family, but needed to find his own way in life, but he also needed something else to be truly happy.

The O'Hurley's
Nora Robert's has written another series and this one is entitled 'The O'Hurley's'. The first one is entitled 'O'Hurley Born' when you meet Abby and Maddy O'Hurley. This volume has two novels each entitled 'The Last Honest Woman' and the second entitled 'Dance to the Piper'. This is the story of family and/or career and the choice that these two have made for their lives. It is a romance, but again I read Nora Roberts novels for the family aspects. 'O'Hurley Born' is each of these women meets and slowly understands what being in a relationship means to each other. 'The Last Honest Women' is the book that deals with Abby and her choices she makes and made. 'Dance to the Piper' is all about Maddy and her career as a dancer and her various choices.

What is Childhood?
What is childhood? Childhood is more than just moving along a developmental timeline and learning and practicing new skills that we all need to use. Childhood is a time to have fun and to rejoice in the choices that we make or may make. Childhood is the time of choices whether right or wrong. Childhood is a time that is not just pertaining to children, but to the parents as well as who need to remember what it means to be a child.

Winnie the Pooh. Top Story - June 2024.
I have shared four children's books written by A.A. Milne and his very best friend. He wrote all these stories for his son Christopher Robin. Winnie the Pooh is also known as Edward Bear or as Christopher Robin sometimes called him Silly Old Bear. There are some friendships real and imaginary that last a lifetime and this friendship is one of them.
