He wasn’t sure how he could possibly help Julie, but he knew that his anger wouldn’t help her at all. Slowly releasing his breath, he released as much anger as possible. He opened the door, then walked out to the front yard.

You will go, live your life as I’ve commanded. Yet, keep in mind, that you will never again have the ability to hurt any woman.” She snapped her fingers and watched as his eyes awakened. “Monty, leave my house. Leave now, before I change my mind.”

MIDNIGHT MAGIC – ch 20 Julie (*)(*)(*) Midnight paced inches away from the feet of both men. While there was still an empty chair between them, Midnight took advantage of that space. She’d pace at the feet of Monty and loudly hiss as she bared her fangs, completely unnerving him. As she passed the empty chair, she’d walk slowly on her hind legs with her front paws raised and her claws extended. Then, approaching Tony’s chair, she’d repeat her pacing and hissing as she did with Monty.
