How To Avoid Conflict
Over a very long working life of more than fifty years, I have learned at least three very effective ways by which to avoid conflict. And the best part is, the following strategies are as relevant to our personal lives as well as to our lives in business and at work.

Yesterday All My Dreams Came True
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, with the warming rays of the sun streaming through the white Madras lace curtains of my bedroom window. My lovely wife kissed me gently on the lips and told me how much she loved me. Then we got up and sat down to an amazing breakfast of hot buttered toast, with Colston Bassett stilton cheese and a drizzle of Manuka honey. This was accompanied by a freshly squeezed, crystal glass of orange juice and a hot Kopi Luwak coffee, served in a Shelley Lincoln bone china tea service.

The Long Road to Justice and Freedom
Over a great many years of dealing with divorce attorneys in the UK and in Spain, I have to say I found the vast majority of men, and one or two women, in the legal profession to be less than trust worthy. However, I must admit that I was lucky enough to come across two attorneys who made a very deep impression on me as being not only excellent at their job, but also decent and honest human beings.

How To Become Fluent In A Foreign Language
Ok, so in 2003 I went to live in Spain with my perverse narcissist, Spanish freak show of a wife hell bent on destroying me. My knowledge of Spanish was rudimentary to say the least. By 2005 I was out on my ear and fearful of how I was going to get by. Lo and behold, I found help from some of the most unexpected quarters.

Three Signs That Your Relationship Is In Deep Trouble
When I explained a little to my second ex what had happened with the first, how I caught her out having an affair, the second one told me "Oh you'd never catch me out, I'm a lot smarter than her." What that immediately told me was that here was a woman who could not be trusted. What she perhaps ought to have said was something like "Well you'd never catch me out, because I would not do anything like that to start with."

Writing Under The Cloak Of Anonymity
There are a few reasons why you may want to write under the cloak of anonymity. For some writers, they don't like to be in the limelight. For others, they like the idea of creating an alter ego. In my case, I choose to write using a pseudonym, or pen name if you prefer, because a great deal of my content is authentically based on my very own personal history.

What Every Divorced Mother Should Know
From bitter experience I know only too well what parental alienation is all about. Two acrimonious divorces, four children, estranged from all four. I know what the effect has been on me, lord only knows what the effect has been on my children.

On Being A House Husband
Having written a variety of articles on my previous relationship experiences, I do feel that I ought to have given a little more time and space to the subject of what I brought to the situation, at least with my first relationship breakdown.

There's More to Families Than Meets The Eye
Looking way, way back to when I first met my wife's her parents, I now realise that the writing was on the wall for what later transpired. Her parents, on the surface at least, seemed friendly enough. However, in the end there were disturbing undercurrents which left a lot to be desired.

A Quick Guide To Surviving Divorce
We've all been there, seen the video and got the T shirt. You meet somebody, fall in love and get married. You buy a house or apartment, settle down and grow together. Maybe you have kids, you bring them up and educate them, you send them off to university or an independent life with a home and partner of their own

On Emulating The Greats In Verse
One of the best ways to get started writing poetry, I find, is by studying the greats and trying to emulate them. This makes starting out a lot easier because you have the subject matter on hand. After many years of experience, I can tell you that one of the hardest jobs for any writer is staring at a blank page and not knowing quite how to begin. So it really is a very handy starter for ten as they say.
