Children of The Night
You wander into the throne room with the eyes of only the King's guards locked on the back of your head. Each man is sword-armed, ready to lay down their life. A ray of sunlight shines through the windows of the castle, casting a spotlight on the King's throne — your throne — after you’ve satisfied your arranged union and secured a Catholic alliance against Protestant England. The alliance benefits Scotland as they are in dire need of troops after the Battle of Pinkie. You do not wish to ascend the throne and be condemned to inevitable death. The crown will make you a target to new and existing adversaries. You don’t care for politics and tire of being reminded that marrying for love is a foolish notion. Despite your feelings, you have no choice in the matter. You are the last of the Vannier line and your mother, Queen Clarice de Poitiers would rather see her head on a spike than have Francis II of Valois claim his rule over France should you neglect your duties.

Taylor Swift "Speak Now" Review
It has been quite some time since Taylor Swift stepped into the music scene as a country singer at 16 years old. She had set a precedent for starry-eyed female country singers struggling to overthrow the beer and pickup truck fad set by their male counterparts. Swift established herself as a force to be reckoned with through the release of her self-titled debut album. Swift has long since moved on from dreaming of a Romeo and Juliet love story and has struggled to prove to critics that age did not define her ability to write musical masterpieces that could dominate the charts.

Black Lives Matter
Many have heard the chants of angered frustration from the activists of Black Lives Matter. This movement garnered international recognition in the summer of 2020 in response to the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. The social and political movement known as Black Lives Matter (BLM) advocates against all racially motivated crimes against black people. The movement began with a simple hashtag (#BlackLivesMatter) following George Zimmerman's vindication in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. Since then the movement became nationally recognised for shining a spotlight on the cracks of the criminal justice system towards African Americans. Specifically, the deaths caused by police brutality.

It's Better in The Bahamas
It’s Better in The Bahamas Imagine this, white picturesque sandy beaches, seven hundred stunning subtropical islands, fathomless ocean trenches and an ever-present golden sun. This ideal Caribbean beauty is in the North-western West Indies just below the coast of Florida. The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is home to not only 380,000 locals but the birthplace of fun in the sun, sand, and sea. As a tourist, you peer out the window and see the varying hues of blue in the Atlantic Ocean. The plane descends, and you feel the soft embrace of the sun's warm rays. As a first-time tourist, you do not know what to expect. Covering the newly built area of the airport are images of turtles, dolphins, and seashells. They are all glimpses of the tropical way of life before you have truly seen the island beyond four walls. A traditionally clothed policeman statue points you in the direction you need to go. The infectious beat of a goat-skinned drum rattles your bones the further you go.
