Annie Bot by Sierra Greer
TLDR: Annie Bot is a messy, fascinating look at the "coming of age" of a companion AI learning to navigate the complexities of love and autonomy. It’s an uncomfortable but necessary exploration of how power dynamics and "ownership" can ruin the very relationships they try to curate.

We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer
I just finished We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer, and I’ll start by saying this: this story is best enjoyed if you go into it knowing as little as possible. If you’re a fan of domestic horror thrillers that lean heavily into mystery, just stop here and give it a shot.

Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession
A Book about kindness which meets these cruel times head on. TLDR: Leonard and Hungry Paul is a quiet, vibrant celebration of unremarkable lives. This novel replaces modern anxiety with simple wonder and decency. When I read it, I got a similar groove to John Williams' Stoner but on the opposite end of the emotional spectrum.
