About a year ago, Tems did an interview where she called marriage a "zombie plan" saying: "TEMS: I had a job after I graduated. I had a job. I was trying to be a good girl [laughs]. A good girl is a girl that listens to her parents and gets a job and says okay, I'm trying to make my parents proud by showing them I'm going to get a job, get married, and do the thing. The robot plan. The zombie plan [laughs]. It's a zombie plan and I was on that plan, and then I got signed. The thing is I've been writing music since I was like 11, and I was just like do I want to be here in the next ten years? Is this it? And I was just like nah, I would rather die than remain here."
