The Fight to Survive
It all started in August of 1992 when I started dating my daughters’ father when I was nineteen years old. I fell madly in love. I loved his big kind heart, the love and attention he gave me. We did almost everything together. He spoiled me and always made me feel like a million dollars. Unfortunately, the alcohol and drug use would change that loving, kind-hearted man that I loved so much into a monster. During the wonderful times, there was abuse. I stayed for many years because I knew he wasn't always this person. I loved him so much that I was blinded by it. I seriously thought that he would change, and I could help him do that. Through the next six years and five months, I was physically, sexually, emotionally, and mentally abused. I can recall several incidences in detail, however, I am sure there are plenty that I have unconsciously blocked out.

Seals and Bounty: The Hired Gun
Kadon Well, if that wasn’t a very interesting conversation. I wonder what she meant by that. It can’t be what I think it means, could it? Could Ms. Movie Star be into BDSM? Could she be a submissive and that’s why she isn’t giving me a hard time with my demands? I couldn’t be that lucky! I am imagining things. Seeing what I want to see. Wait, what I want to see. Why do I want to see that? Fuck it. Stop thinking Kadon and take a shower, now a cold shower, and go to bed.

The Telephone Booth
Looking up at the clock hanging on the opposite side of the wall, it says 9:30 pm. All I can hear is beep, drip, beep, drip, beep, drip, beep, drip, beep, over and over again. I look to my right and I can see the street lights outside the window and the glow of the moon and stars hitting the sidewalk. When I look to my left all I see are the monitors that keep making all that racket. Nurses that keep walking in and out all through the night. How anyone sleeps in here I will never understand.

Turned for Love
Katie is sitting in her home office when she hears something outside. It sounded like a woman screaming. She gets up and looks out the window. It’s completely dark outside all except for the glow coming off of the moon and stars, but it’s not enough to really see anything in the distance, but there is nothing close up to the house. She decides it must be all in her imagination and heads upstairs to go to bed.

Not Really Dead
The sky is dark, the rain is coming down with fury while thunder is making loud booming sounds throughout the sky and the lightening is cracking through the black clouds. What a sad day all around. The weather brings an extra depression to the funeral. The glum that can’t seem to go away at all. There is no laughter in the air, no slight smiles. It was as if Jeff’s life was a boring and he didn’t live an exciting, intriguing life, but he did, didn’t he?

Romance in the Rockies
There is nothing more beautiful than driving through the Colorado Rocky Mountains during the winter. As the drive starts to get closer to the mountains, you look up from seeing dry green land to seeing the tips of wet white mountains. It is like looking into another world. Literally you see the perfect painting with a variation of colors that start at the bottom with the green grounds, up to the brown and red trees, to the white at the top of the mountains, and then you reach this gorgeous blue sky encased by fluffy white clouds with beams of orange and yellow rays from the sun breaking through from the heavens. It is absolutely breathtaking.

Seals and Bounty: The Hired Gun
Kadon As the driver held the car door open, Doug and Ms. Lane got into the limousine. I motioned for him to shut the door so that I could speak with him for a few minutes. If he was going to be her permanent driver, then there were things that he would normally do, that now I would do. We needed to make sure we were both on the same page.

Knowing When You are Burned Out
Burned Out! You know the feeling you get when your body is about to shutdown because it has done too much for too long without any rest. Have you felt this way? Do you even realize when you are burned out? I have and it was literally only a few weeks ago. I had been burned out before and I guess I had realized it early because this time, this time it wasn’t just my body wanted to sleep, my health was going down.
