A Summary of the Summer Transfer Window
The 2025/26 summer transfer window slammed shut at 7PM Monday 1st September. Another summer of an unprecedented amount of money spent with Premier League clubs spending almost £3Bn. That is a record, but another record broken is how much money Premier League clubs have made from sales which is sitting at £1.63Bn. An eye watering amount of money shifted between clubs all over the world, so I'm going to dive into each clubs summer and rank how well they've done as well as updating where I think teams will finish come the end of the season. So, in order to understand the side-by-side comparison then check out my pre-season predictions in an earlier post. Without further ado, let's go in alphabetical order. Disclaimer, I've not separated loans from permanent sales, so some of the ins/outs are just loans!

Anguish at Anfield
Anfield has been a place that has brought much misery throughout the years. Most certainly one of the hardest grounds to go to in the world and attempt to come away with anything more than your dignity. Having said that, Mikel Arteta has orchesrated a couple of decent results in the last couple of years, but hasn't managed to obtain the holy grail, three points. There was a quiet optimism seeping into the Arsenal fans in the build up to this fixture as Liverpool themselves had been on the receiving end of a couple of nail-biting results. They came out on top in both, but looked quite vulnerable. The only issue from a Gunners perspective is losing Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz in consecutive game weeks.

Premier League Predictions GW3
Starting from this weekend, I want to get out a prediction forecast for the corresponding games of that weekend. That will incorporate midweek games, should they be scheduled for then. I think this will help maintain a consistent level of knowledge of how the rest of the Premier is faring outside of Arsenal. With that being said, within the predictions will be a predicted scoreline and any injury woes. Disclaimer for the 'Notable Absentees' section, I can only give the information that is available at the time, so not all absences will be 100%, some of them are simply labelled as doubts.

Lethal Against Leeds
Newly promoted Leeds United needed little time to adjust to the Premier League after beating Everton the week prior. A 1-0 victory saw them grab all three points and a dash of momentum. Arsenal pulverised that momentum. Having said that, it took a while for the Gunners to actually get going in this one.

Okay at Old Trafford!
1-0 to The Arsenal. A scoreline that brings great relief across the fanbase, but the performance itself is giving some concerns. However, a win is a win and at Old Trafford no less, so that is the most important takeaway from this engagement.

Premier League Predictions 25/26
As we gear up for another season of highs and lows, thrills and spills and everything in between. Every team will be aiming high, but some have to fall below expectations to keep the balance. The Premier League season kicks off today with Liverpool hosting Bournemouth at 8pm GMT. In this post I'm going to take a look at where I think every team will finish from 20th to 1st. I'll also give a reason why, who their standout player will be and one position that needs investing in the most. Without further ado, let's begin at 20.

Why Can't Arsenal Sell?
There's a lot to commend about the way Arsenal handle their business behind the scene. They've boasted using a self-sustaining model and have reaped the rewards in a more organic way. Under Arsene Wenger we were known as a club that always needed to sell to buy and quite famously neglected spending anything on transfer fees, baring some deals early on in his Arsenal tenure. Wenger's philosophy was to make a superstar rather than buy them and it worked pretty well for him, he uncovered and polished a number of gems that went onto to have glittering careers.

Today was the day. The night couldn't come quickly enough. John Kane sat at his desk almost stuck in time, watching clock hands on the wall click in their usual clockwise motion. Although he could swear they were going anti-clockwise at a couple of points.

Hopeless in Hong Kong?
Playing Tottenham Hotspur can never really be considered a friendly as there's always that bit extra. But, take away the emotion, and it is just a friendly. Designed to keep improving fitness and easing the players back into the new football season, as well as incorporating the clubs global fanbase. But, losing 1-0 to them is still such a kick in the teeth.

Will it finally be Arsenal's year?
Another season of full of almost's and what if's. Another season where we could only watch as all the teams around us lifted silverware. Some might say `I wouldn't want to win the Europa League or Conference League anyway, who cares.' But, for those fans of those football clubs, they felt the pure elation of winning a trophy. Something which us as Arsenal fans haven't tasted in a few years. Now, it wasn't all our fault, most of our key players sustained injuries that would keep them out for over a month, in some cases, even more. But, that's the way the cookie crumbled and when it mattered most, the team fell short. However, as in life, you must look forward.

Movie Review: Babylon
Not something I often write about, but it’s actually something I do often. Go to the cinema and watch a film. It’s one of my favourite things to do, just getting lost in another world for two hours give or take. I often walk out thinking about who I can talk to about the film, but often I’m the first as I’m a regular at watching films on the big screen.
