The Curse_via Showtime
My husband and I tried to watch The Curse streaming on Paramount+ (or Showtime if you have a subscription). The Curse stars one of my favorite actresses, Emma Stone, as Whitney. I thought, “Oh yes, yes! Emma is in this!” Nathan Felder plays her husband, Asher. The couple is trying to get a new type of HGTV show up and running, Flipanthropy. They are cutesy, over-the-top, relatable, and perky as a married home-makeover couple. The Curse begins as a sarcastic take on many HGTV stars and shows. Asher and Whitney really want to make life better for everyone with their style of homes.

Carlotta’s Cookies
Carlotta was depressed after failing her geometry test. Geometry! It is so simple: triangles of various shapes, little angles, large angles, lines every which way. How could she have flunked it? Her mind ran in tiny circles like those one makes with a protractor. Her hands rolled the dough in her palms into perfect one-inch balls that she carefully placed on the Pampered Chef cookie baking stone. The heat from the oven was warming her face, so she knew it would be heated to the right temperature soon.

The Tweetstorm That Got Me Suspended . Content Warning.
I began on X, formerly Twitter (which, BTW, should still be Twitter and is still Twitter to many of us on the platform; thus the blue photo further in the story) - are you listening, EM?), about seven years ago. I found compadres there, not mean people. Of course, the people I met on that platform agreed with me - we were saving elephants and other captive animals.
