Say My Name
I can't even begin to wrap my head around the absurdity of the situation I just found myself in. There I was excited on the opening day of the exhibit called “Her Voice, Her Vision” for Women’s history month amongst the diverse array of artwork created by talented female artists, only to stumble upon my own piece, Liv Love, proudly displayed among the others.

Powerful painful empowering. Content Warning.
Not an easy exhibition to see, Lost in Parys describes in painful detail the love and loss of a mother following her son's death at the age of 19. Artist Alison Lapper is perhaps best known as the subject of a nude sculpture by Marc Quinn, which was mounted in Trafalgar Square, London, between 2005 and 2007. Controversial at the time and drawing the obvious idiotic comments about nudity, beauty, the female form and whether pregnancy and disability were suitable subjects to put on display in a public place. These days one would hope that the world is a little more tolerant and a lot more understanding.

Review || Barbara Kruger: Thinking of You. I mean Me. I mean You, at the Serpentine — Heartbreak edition.
I wasn’t expecting much. Only to take my mind off it. To get out of bed and do something as well. Society makes me feel guilty for doing nothing while curing my heartbreak… How long is it going to last?, I suspect they all are thinking. These days, it seems I’ll never get better, and I’ll never be able to do anything anymore. And so, I left home for London on a Sunday morning, all wrapped up in my guiltiness and a warm coat my mum wanted to get rid of because it brought back bad memories, she said.
