Every New Year is like an empty page-filled with possibility, full of promise. At that magic moment called midnight on the morning of January 1, 2025, I knew what precisely I should do-create a certain kind of literature masterpiece which reflected not only my deeply embedded passion for creative work but also triggered an inspiration toward following dreams of one's life.

For years, I’ve juggled multiple roles—mother, writer, dreamer—but this year, I’m setting my sights on crafting a novel that speaks to my heart and soul. My resolution for 2025 is to bring to life a book I’ve long imagined: ā€œEchoes of the Forgotten Sky,ā€ a tale of resilience, connection, and rediscovering hope in a world fractured by loss.

The Vision

It's set in some post-apocalyptic world where the last remnants of humanity survive underground, believing the skies above them are cursed. My protagonist, Isla, is a dreamer-a girl dares to question narratives passed down through generations. Her journey to uncover the truth about the "forgotten sky" actually mirrors my own quest to find and dig out stories that mean so much to me.

This isn’t just a book; it’s a love letter to humanity’s resilience, creativity, and hope. It’s a project that combines my passion for storytelling with my desire to spark meaningful conversations about our shared future.

The Plan

Creating a novel of this scale is no small feat, but I’ve mapped out a step-by-step plan to ensure success:

1. January – March: Research and World-Building

I’ll dive into topics like mythology, environmental science, and human psychology to craft a rich, believable world. I’ll also sketch maps, develop languages, and outline the societies that exist in this imagined realm.

2. April – June: Writing the First Draft

My mornings will be dedicated to writing at least 1,000 words daily. This period is all about letting creativity flow without judgment—getting the story down, flaws and all.

3. Edit and Revise, July - September

During this period, I will involve beta readers and editors in refining the work. This stage will ensure that the story is powerful and has enough punch.

4. Publish and Promote, October - December

Before the close of the year, I will self-publish or look for a literary agent to publish my novel. During this time, I will be working on community building via social networking and attending some literary events as well.

The Drive Behind the Dream

What drives me to pursue this ambitious goal?

• My Children: As a mother of three, I want to show my kids the power of chasing dreams and turning imagination into reality.

• My Love for Writing: Storytelling has always been my sanctuary, my way of processing the world and connecting with others.

• The Desire to Inspire: I believe stories have the power to heal, transform, and connect us. This book is my attempt to contribute to that collective experience.

Challenges and How I'll Overcome Them

The most significant challenge I will face is juggling writing with motherhood and other responsibilities. In order to tackle this, I will establish boundaries, allocate specific hours for writing, and remind myself that progress-even in small steps-is still progress.

It could very well lead to the demon of writer's block; yet, on reflection, the free rein of my mind best facilitates the flow of my creativity. I will ward off doubt through rigor and passion, considering always the larger perspective.

The Bigger Picture

Echoes of the Forgotten Sky" is not about personal achievement; rather, it speaks to the magic of storytelling. In sharing this journey, I hope to inspire others to take their own creative leaps, believe in their dreams, and find beauty in beginning anew.

As 2025 unfolds, I’m ready to pour my heart into this project, turning my resolution into a reality. This year, I’m not just writing a book—I’m building a legacy of hope, resilience, and imagination.

Here’s to dreaming big, creating boldly, and making 2025 a year to remember.A Community of Dreamers

While "Echoes of the Forgotten Sky" is my personal project, I want to make it the spark that ignites a community of dreamers who will share their creativity and aspirations in turn. During all of 2025, I intend to chronicle the journey in real-time, sharing insights, struggles, and little victories on mediums like Medium and Instagram.

I see myself creating an online community, "The Story Weaver's Circle," which would be able to bring together writers, artists, and creators from all over the world. It would be a space that offers the following:

Workshops: Monthly sessions on world-building, character development, and crafting compelling narratives.

Accountability Groups: Weekly check-ins to support each other's creative goals.

Guest Speakers: Established authors and creators sharing their wisdom and experiences.

In building this community, I am creating my resolution as a collective movement in which everybody is inspired to pursue their dreams and help in each other's growth.

The Ripple Effect

The beauty of a creative project does not lie just in its completion but in its ripples, which can bring much change. For "Echoes of the Forgotten Sky," I dream that it:

1. The story of Isla will keep in readers' minds the power of questioning, dreaming, and a belief in impossible things.

2. The themes of this book will touch on climate change and taking care of the planet.

3. By being very open with my creation process, I want to show other budding artists that often the toughest thing to do is to begin-but it's also the most rewarding.

A Celebration of Creation

To celebrate the close of this project, I will be holding a Creative Showcase in December 2025. Featured in this will be:

• A Live Reading: Where I will share parts of the book and discuss creating it.

• A Creator's Panel: Projects developed by The Story Weaver's Circle members are showcased, and they speak about their journey.

• Workshops for Attendees: Various interactive sessions aimed at inspiring new creators to take the leap.

It will not only celebrate my resolution but also the collective power of creation and the vivid community that we have built together.

Reflecting on the Journey

The pride and thankfulness I feel, even now, as I envision myself sitting at the end of 2025 with a completed book in my hands, cannot be contained. It is going to be difficult, but each lost night, each rewritten page, and every doubt conquered will have been worth it.

This is not about reaching the goal; it's about growing up as a writer and dreamer, and a human being-to take that one bold step toward the unknown, trusting something beautiful will mushroom from it.

2025 is my year to create fearlessly, connect deeper, and leave an indelible mark via "Echoes of the Forgotten Sky" well beyond.

Here's to resolutions that fire passion, projects that push limits, and a year of dreaming bigger than ever.
