Terminator: Dark Fate review
'Terminator' & 'Terminator II' Review: This Giant Franchise Stems From a Surprisingly Small Story The Terminator franchise is one of the most successful and iconic sci-fi action franchises in movie history. It all started with a simple premise: a cyborg assassin, the Terminator, is sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of a future resistance leader, while a human soldier is sent back to protect her. The first film, "The Terminator" (1984), was directed by James Cameron and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular character. It was a critical and commercial success and established the franchise's distinctive blend of action, suspense, and special effects.

Starting this month, you can see thousands of gray whales traveling along the California Coast. Here's how to see them
From December to April every year, gray whales migrate along the Southern California coast. Cruises departing from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Monterey Bay offer tours to see the whales and give you a chance to get up close to look at them.

Tastes of South Korea at Home (Travel from Home #18)
I ventured into H-Mart for the first time ever. A new H-Mart store opened near me about a year ago, but I had never gone in. Choosing South Korea as my destination for December gave me the perfect excuse to force myself to explore it. There was definitely a lot of food with which I wasn’t familiar, but I think I made some decent choices in the end. And I’m proud to get out of my comfort zone and try some new things. With my dietary restrictions and introvert tendencies, that’s not always easy for me (especially during a pandemic). I was astounded by the variety of food available in H-Mart and look forward to going back at some point to sample all the different Oreo and Kit-Kat flavors not available in regular, US grocery stores!

A Journey to Kenya (Travel from Home #15)
In September, I participated in the Slapshot Readathon and got the idea to read the new book Hockey Night in Kenya. So I decided I would fake travel to Kenya for my monthly trip. Finding a restaurant with specifically Kenyan food necessitated driving about an hour and a half to another state, so it was more of a real journey than I’m used to. It took a little planning, but I had a good time with it.

Create a Cinematic Vacation
There are few things in life that make my soul as hopeful and happy as romance and travel. The two go hand and hand for me, even if I'm traveling solo. I haven't been on a plane in over a year, which may be the longest stretch of time without leaving my immediate surroundings in my adult life. I haven't been out of America since 2009.
