You’ve Got Me Bound

You’ve Got Me Bound

By Adnan RasheedPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

You’ve Got Me Bound

You probably don’t even realize

How strong your gravity is.

I am trapped in your orbit,

And no matter how hard I try I can’t escape.

My eyes are always fixed on you

But half the time you don’t even see me.

I’d give you my everything if you let me

But to you I’m just someone in the background.

You’ve got me bound.

You’re an addiction I wish I could quit

But I don’t even tempt you.

You haunt my every thought

Yet I don’t think I ever cross your mind.

You fill my dreams every night

While you sleep peacefully unaware.

You’ve got me bound.

And today I sit here in silence

Listening as you tell our friends

All about some new girl you’re seeing.

None of you can see it

But my heart is breaking into pieces

Because deep down I know

You will never choose me.

You’ve got me bound.
