Willows whisper and watch,
waiting, whistling for the marvelous moment…
the subtle occasion,
when everything aligns after egregious life events.
Pine trees, sticky sap smells sweet on wooden edges and peering bark.
Stark is the fading dusk,
and growing musky shadowy wooded forest.
The words of a bolder willow slips,
“I long to brush my limbs gently across the strapping pine tree in the depths of night.”
