When Zombies Stroll By

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 4 months ago 2 min read

Verse 1

In the moonlight, the streets are bare,

Zombies roam, but they don’t care.

They’re hungry for brains, that’s their goal,

But they skip right past certain souls.

Chorus

Oh, some folks are so clueless,

Even zombies shake their heads,

"Why waste a bite on that one?"

They’d rather munch on stale bread!

So if you're feeling a little dim,

Don't worry, you won't be their whim,

Walkin’ by like a shadow, no fight,

You’re the one they’d ignore at night!

Verse 2

Got a dude in the corner, staring at a wall,

Mouth wide open, just watch him sprawl.

He’s mumbling words that don’t make sense,

Even the undead just bypass his fence.

Chorus

Oh, some folks are so clueless,

Even zombies shake their heads,

"Why waste a bite on that one?"

They’d rather munch on stale bread!

So if you're feeling a little dim,

Don't worry, you won't be their whim,

Walkin’ by like a shadow, no fight,

You’re the one they’d ignore at night!

Bridge

Dancing round in a daze,

They don’t even know they’re in a craze,

Zombies groan and just move along,

Humans like this just don’t belong!

Verse 3

In the daylight, they’re lost in a thought,

Wandering around like a brainless robot.

While the world moves fast, they’re standing still,

With a mind so empty, they’ve lost the thrill.

Chorus

Oh, some folks are so clueless,

Even zombies shake their heads,

"Why waste a bite on that one?"

They’d rather munch on stale bread!

So if you're feeling a little dim,

Don't worry, you won't be their whim,

Walkin’ by like a shadow, no fight,

You’re the one they’d ignore at night!

Outro

So if you’re out and the zombies creep,

Just remember, they’re counting sheep.

You’re safe, my friend, enjoy the show,

Some folks are so dumb, they just don’t know!

Yeah, some folks are so dumb, they just don’t know!
