We began like dawn,
two souls rising with warmth,
hands woven in promise,
eyes carrying forever.
But time is a thief—
it softened our fire,
turned laughter to silence,
and closeness to miles.
You wore the night in your gaze,
I carried shadows in mine.
Between us, words became weapons,
and silence a wall too tall to climb.
So here we stand,
two figures in black,
on a road that splits our hearts,
the air heavy with endings.
The sky mourns with us—
clouds weeping, light breaking faintly,
a fragile memory of what we were.
Love does not vanish;
it changes shape,
from flame, to ember, to ash—
yet in the ashes lies truth:
we loved,
we lost,
we learned.
