Washington State Gasoline and Trump's War

One Outcome of Poorly Planned Bomb Dropping

Gasoline costs more since Trump started his Iranian war

Washington state is always higher,

because here, all our awesome benefits

come from gasoline taxes

Whenever more services are needed,

pennies appear in prices at the pump

Reports say regular gas is over four and a half dollars

Not an April Fool's joke, this is March 2026

It's all good because the greenbacks fed

into the pump help the Evergreen state

⛽️

Although it takes much more time

to get from point A to point B,

traffic is very congested, yet

we have mountains and green trees,

the sea and clean air

🌊

When the heavy gray sky

breaks to brilliant blue, we pump that gas,

or charge the EVs with plentiful electricity.

We get on the road to hike or ski

and are always awed by the tremendous beauty.

🤑 🛑

Will Trump's War slow the fuel pump purchases

in the Evergreen state?

When prices goes up for any commodity,

and people want it, they buy it; the price

then becomes the new norm.

A/N - a little "ditty" because the gas prices have already risen to $4.54 in Olympia, Washington, the capital of the state. Traffic jams are common due to an influx of residents and military personnel, but the outdoors draws people from their homes to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Our gasoline taxes pay for benefits like ferries, upgrades to bridges, and road maintenance.

Gas is becoming more and more expensive not only because of the wars but also because the earth is literally running out of it. Pretty soon it will cost a barrel to extract a barrel and then the entire industry will collapse. I would rejoice if Trump hadn’t made the economy so dependent on it again. So easy to fall back into an addiction, even for entire societies. Great poem, Andi!

That’s like us in California. Our gas prices are higher than most other states. But then again we have blue skies, well cared for roads, and a lot of beautiful scenery along the coast. It is well worth it. But Trump did promise that gas prices were to decrease, grocery store prices would go down, that would be million on your jobs,. But the exact opposite is happening. So much for America first. Well written, Andrea.
